Background / History

Decline on the Barbaric Continent

On the Barbaric Continent, the Human Race was regarded as one of the weakest races because it lacked powerful innate racial talents. Scattered human communities survived as vassals or slaves of stronger races, while others hid in remote regions such as Fangzhang Island. 1

The Human Race’s former dominance survived mainly as legend. Many races doubted that humans had once ruled the Barbaric Continent, particularly because powerful races such as the Witch Tribe possessed overwhelming natural strength. 121

The Starry Tribe’s Rise

Following a Jackalmen attack that killed the previous tribe leader, Lin Feng took leadership of a small Human Race tribe in Gourd Valley. Rather than seek protection from the Baimu Tribe, he used the Human Race Rising system to bring Blue Star humans into the Savage World as immortal Skyfallers. 1 3

The Starry Tribe quickly overturned expectations of human weakness. Its warriors routed the Jackalmen, fielded hundreds of Mortal Realm cultivators against the Snake People Tribe, and became known for their fearlessness in battle. 31 150 153

The tribe also adopted a policy of accepting cooperative foreign races rather than treating them as slaves. Gray Ape and Sheep Face Tribe members worked, ate, and lived alongside the Human Race while retaining freedom of movement outside the Inner Valley. 53 195

Enslavement and Liberation

Large Human Race populations remained enslaved beyond the Starry Tribe’s territory. The Shadow Spirit Kingdom alone held over 1.1 million Human Race slaves, treating them as livestock and laborers. 449

Starry Kingdom forces intervened during the Shadow Spirit Kingdom’s planned blood sacrifice of 100,000 slaves. Subsequent operations around Phantom City rescued over 150,000 Human Race slaves and armed more than 110,000 men for city defense. 450 459

The Kingdom later resettled 1.3 million Human Race members across thirty-two cities in Dawn Province. 480

Cosmic Human Race Heritage

The Human Race’s history extends beyond the Barbaric Continent. More than ten thousand years earlier, the Cosmic Human Race controlled territory spanning over a thousand star realms and was protected by thirteen High-dimensional Life forms, including the Lord of All Mysteries. 539 578

After five High-dimensional Life forms fell during a calamity, the Asura Race and Insectoid Race launched a prolonged invasion. To preserve their people, the Cosmic Human Race initiated the Wanderer and Ark plans; the latter concealed one million life-bearing worlds as Ark Planets. Ark Planet 924 became the world containing the Barbaric Continent. 578

On Ark Planet 924, Mei Ke exploited internal resource conflicts, created the Destruction Church, and spread hostility toward the original Human Race. His alliance nearly exterminated humanity before the Dragon and Phoenix Races intervened. 512

Reunification and Return

After the Starry Kingdom unified the Barbaric Continent, its member races publicly learned that they shared a Cosmic Human Race identity. The Dragon Race, Phoenix Race, Witch Tribe, Demon Race, Titan Race, and others were recognized as branches or incorporated members of the same greater civilization. 578

With access to the wider universe, Lin Feng’s forces began locating surviving Cosmic Human populations on other Ark Planets. He ordered the migration of fifty billion Cosmic Humans from Death Ring and protected Ark Planet 5628, home to more than 100 billion Cosmic Humans. 644 656

The restoration of Human Race High-dimensional Life forms enabled the Cosmic Human Race to reclaim the Chaos Sacred Ruins and retaliate against the Asura and Insectoid Races, killing seven of their High-dimensional Life forms. 670 672
