Su Moqian smiled, ruffled Mei's hair, and then let her go.
"I still have to get everything in place, so you should head home first, Mei."
As he spoke, Su Moqian waved to Mei and turned to leave.
Watching Su Moqian walk away, Raiden Mei pouted in dissatisfaction.
It had been so long since he'd hugged her.
She'd finally gotten the chance just now, and he'd only held her for a little while.
Moqian hadn't used to be like this. Had some woman taken advantage of the opportunity to get close to him?
Raiden Mei shook her head in frustration, then asked the Thunder Law within her:
"Miss Herrscher, why did you tell me to agree to that? I clearly don't want Moqian getting dragged into danger."

"No," Raiden Mei answered without hesitation.
The Thunder Law said, "Exactly."
"Of course, Su Moqian does have a few tricks up his sleeve, but I still don't think he can deal with this crisis."
Mei's eyes widened at that.
"Then why did you tell me to agree?"
"Don't worry. I've got your back!" the Thunder Law said confidently, patting her chest.
"The enemy is so powerful. Can Su Moqian handle it on his own? No, he can't!"
Miss Herrscher said this with absolute certainty.
"But when that happens, you can borrow my power and fight alongside Su Moqian—or even play the hero and save the beauty!"
"Save the beauty?" Raiden Mei's eyes widened at those words.
She imagined herself saving Su Moqian, after which he would fall completely in love with her.
Then he'd dump Bronya and leave her a total loser!
