Background / History

Tsunade withdrew from Konoha after the deaths of her younger brother Nawaki and her lover Dan. Disillusioned with Konoha's leadership, she spent her years traveling and gambling, though she retained her identity as Konoha's “Princess” and the respect of Senju descendants. 10 68

She returned immediately when news emerged that gifted children—especially Senju descendants—had been disappearing. At the Hokage's office, she demanded answers from Hiruzen Sarutobi and openly condemned both him and his advisors, Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura, for failing Konoha. 10
