Haku looked at Hyuga Riko and Uchiha Yu before him and told them about his plans.

[Our squad won't be assigned any missions by the village for now. The next mission outside the village should be in three months, so we have three months to improve our strength.]

Hyuga Riko immediately stated his own plan.

[I'm going home to undergo special training from my clan. When we go on another mission, I won't be so useless again. Apart from being able to use the Byakugan to take a look, I basically didn't help with anything.]

At night, he practiced Chakra control and trained in Taijutsu at Training Ground 83. Haku was confident that, after three months, he wouldn't fall into the water again.

At first, most of the patients at the hospital were villagers, but after a week, more and more shinobi began arriving to recover from their injuries.

From these shinobi, Haku learned that the front lines were becoming increasingly tense. Although there had been no large-scale clashes, killings between squads had continued without pause.

Konoha had also begun recruiting shinobi, preparing to form a force to support the front line against Kumogakure. Haku knew that not long after this force departed, they would be transporting supplies to the front line.
