"Damn it, I just didn't expect..." The Lord of Incubus listened to God of Nightmares's question and felt countless mocking gazes turn her way. One of the top three Dream Gods had actually gotten trapped in a dream. That was a pretty humiliating thing to hear!

God of Nightmares, however, paid no attention to her protests. He merely furrowed his brow and said:

"That doesn't make sense! I seem to be the only one who could trap you in a nightmare... Even if a new Dream God had come into being, I should've sensed them manipulating nightmares on this scale!"

"So you're admitting it?" The Lord of Incubus watched God of Nightmares give off a mental wave that seemed to say, "The culprit was me all along?" Her hands tensed, veins bulging, as if she were about to tear the nightmare apart with her bare hands.

God of Nightmares immediately shook his head.

"No, I just want to ask: are you sure you were trapped in a dream? It wasn't some sort of illusion disguised as one?"

"You think I'm an idiot?" The Lord of Incubus glared at God of Nightmares. "I'm a goddess who wields Dream Authority, for crying out loud! You think I can't tell a dream from an illusion? Even if I were mistaken, my followers can only enter dreams by accepting a summoning ritual. Since she entered that place after accepting a job, it could only have been a dream! And I was even able to use the Dream Interference Authority. Do you think that was a dream or an illusion?"

"Dream Interference? Is that how you escaped?" God of Nightmares's tone was a little complicated. If Dream Interference had worked, then she couldn't really be considered trapped. It wasn't worth barging in over.
