Power Progression

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
100,000-year Soul Beast — comparable to a Level 99 Peerless Douluo 45 129 Retrospective milestone: Di Tian already possessed this combat strength at 100,000 years of cultivation.
Fierce Beast — demigod-level strength 129 Retrospective milestone: reached demigod combat strength upon becoming a Fierce Beast. Subsequent cultivation chiefly increased his accumulated power.
A little over 700,000 years of cultivation 129 His documented cultivation during the Deep Sea campaign. He deliberately suppresses its growth to avoid a divine tribulation he expects would kill him.
  • Godhood remains blocked: even Ning Fengzhi’s eighty-percent augmentation cannot overcome the restraint preventing Di Tian from reaching God Level 131.
  • Cultivation conversion is not assigned a confirmed realm: Bai Yuan predicts that Di Tian could attain a high immortal-cultivation realm, but these estimates are not documented breakthroughs 45 159.

Background / History

Di Tian’s lifespan exceeds that of the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, despite his lower recorded cultivation. The whale king accumulated nearly a million years of cultivation through devouring other Soul Beasts, whereas Di Tian deliberately restrained his own growth. His overwhelming combat strength therefore does not depend solely on cultivation age 128 129.

Before meeting Bai Yuan, Di Tian was already feared as the Beast God of the Star Dou Great Forest. Scarlet King invoked his name to warn invading Titled Douluo that they would die if they angered him. Di Tian also treasured the Emperor Auspicious Beast, whose presence doubled local Soul Beast growth and improved their chances of overcoming bottlenecks 19 25.

Appearance

  • Dragon form: a thousand-meter-long black dragon with golden eyes and wings large enough to blot out the sky 37.
  • Human form: a middle-aged man dressed in black, with long hair falling over his shoulders and golden eyes 73 128.
  • Dragon God Claw: his right claw has thicker, visibly different joints from his left; it can turn golden and become enveloped in seven-colored light 39 132.
  • Manifested darkness: his appearance gathers dense Dark Element into ink-black clouds, darkening the surrounding landscape 37 129.

Personality

Di Tian is proud, imperious, and strongly committed to testing himself against worthy opponents. He initially refuses to negotiate over the Auspicious Beast and later rejects Ning Fengzhi’s support against Tang Hao, insisting on a one-on-one battle even though Tang Hao’s strength is externally enhanced. Gu Yuena explains that Di Tian seeks opponents, battle, and improvement, unlike Bai Yuan, who prioritizes certain victory 37 59 62.

His long life leaves him weary and longing to transcend his world. He describes himself as lonely, although the narration notes that he has always had companions. His pride also delays accepting Bai Yuan’s offer of discipleship: he instinctively rejects another invitation, then immediately regrets doing so 38 62 79.

Di Tian can set aside his principles when others are endangered. Against the God-Level Abyssal Sage King, he requests support rather than maintaining his usual insistence on single combat. His desire for a new cultivation path becomes especially urgent after witnessing Mu Junwu surpass the limits that have confined him 131 160.

Abilities & Skills

Dragon God Claw

  • Crushes and absorbs attacks powerful enough to severely wound a Level 99 Peerless Douluo 39.
  • Exerts pressure capable of immobilizing Bai Yuan and preventing him from performing the hand seals required for his techniques 39 40.
  • Gathers the world’s Elemental Power beneath the claw, accompanied by a seven-colored halo and an overwhelming dragon roar 39 131 132.
  • Remains below God Level because of the world’s restrictions; its full attack fails to harm the God-Level Abyssal Sage King 39 132.
  • Can be blocked by the Five Elements Array Disk, as demonstrated in his defeat by Bai Yuan 40.

Dark Element and Black Sun

  • Gathers darkness on a scale sufficient to turn the sea within a ten-thousand-meter radius into apparent night 129.
  • Manifests a vast Black Sun, described as darker than ordinary darkness and resembling a black hole 38 129.
  • Uses darkness in his palm to devour released attack energy without allowing it to erupt outward 39.

Dragon Might and Spiritual Power

  • His roar forces Soul Beasts into submission and makes beast martial souls tremble; even powerful Titled Douluo struggle to maintain flight 37 129.
  • Uses his aura and commands to drive beasts away from the Abyss channels 78.
  • Releases Spiritual Power to dispel the Abyss’s beguiling influence over weaker members of the defensive formation 75.

Physical Strength and Soul Power Reserves

  • Destroys Bai Yuan’s enormous spiritual-power sword with a single black dragon claw 37.
  • Continues fighting without visible exhaustion even when the Five Elements Array leaves him unable to replenish Soul Power from his surroundings 39.
  • Kills Dai Mubai and his team with a single gesture 56.
  • Shields the Fierce Beasts from the aftermath of a battle after recovering through Bi Ji’s treatment 142.

Flame Attacks

  • Manifests Seven-Colored Flame within his golden pupils while unleashing the Dragon God Claw against the Abyssal Sage King 132.

Spatial Travel and Combat Analysis

  • Identifies Bai Yuan’s reliance on external World Force, his comparatively frail body, and the hand seals needed to unleash his techniques 39 40.
  • Participates in Gu Yuena’s nine-expert formation, which mobilizes Douluo Star’s power against the invading Abyss Plane 73 75.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Silver Dragon Spear — carries it while patrolling the Star Dou Great Forest during the Abyss invasion; provides it to Bai Yuan to retrieve the Black Empress’s Realm Core 78 80.
  • Sky Flame Starfall Talisman — tests Bai Yuan’s talisman by activating it with his Essence Blood. At the time, he lacks the spiritual power needed for its normal activation 46.
  • Dragon Scale Swords — usage restriction: Bai Yuan explains that Di Tian’s Soul Power cannot activate them and that Essence Blood cannot fully release their power 79.

Relationships

  • Gu Yuena / Silver Dragon King — his sovereign. He obeys her assignments, addresses her with utmost respect, and seeks her guidance when Bai Yuan challenges his beliefs about strength 45 62 78.
  • Bai Yuan — initially an enemy over custody of the Auspicious Beast, then an ally, employer, and master. Di Tian is explicitly listed among his bound disciples; he publicly uses “Senior Brother” when the Angel God might be observing through Qian Renxue 37 46 159 160.
  • Wang Qiuer / Emperor Auspicious Beast — a treasured Soul Beast whose fortune benefits the forest. Her rapid development under Bai Yuan astonishes Di Tian 19 37 118.
  • Bi Ji — healer and companion; treats him after his defeat by Bai Yuan and later restores him following the Deep Sea battle 40 142.
  • Ning Fengzhi — human ally and support specialist. Di Tian refuses his augmentation against Tang Hao but requests it against the Abyssal Sage King 59 131.
  • Qian Renxue — Spirit Hall associate. Di Tian monitors her Soul Bone fusion and agrees to notify Bai Yuan when she finishes 98 160.
  • Qian Daoliu — fellow participant in the Deep Sea campaign. Di Tian initially questions his loyalty, then accepts his explanation of Tang Chen’s control over him 126 129.
  • Abyssal Sage King — invading enemy whom Di Tian resists at the Two-Realm Channel and later confronts after the king possesses the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King 75 131 132.
