A one-on-one fight?
Master Duo raised an eyebrow, looking at Master Ka in disbelief. He hadn't expected his opponent, despite having so many people and an overwhelming numerical advantage, to challenge him to a one-on-one fight.
Who did they think they were looking down on? Or did they really not believe he was of the Treasure Tree Clan?
In Master Duo's view, choosing this approach was undoubtedly the stupidest option. But it was exactly what he wanted.
If they all attacked him at once, he might find himself hard-pressed when surrounded, perhaps even forced to retreat. But at the very least, he was confident he could protect himself. He had arrived without a scratch, and he could leave without a scratch, too.
But his opponent had proposed a one-on-one, a chance to test their skills against each other. Master Duo could barely keep from laughing. Of course, he still had to maintain his image as a noble-blooded member of the Treasure Tree Clan.
"Are you sure?"
Master Ka gritted his teeth. "Please, show me what you can do."
Master Duo smiled faintly and held up three fingers. "Three moves. If you can withstand three moves from me, you win."
Three moves?
Master Ka felt a humiliation unlike anything he'd ever experienced. The people behind him were all gritting their teeth, too. This was open contempt.
As the leader of the group, Master Ka's strength was outstanding. He hadn't expected this man to demand that he withstand three moves.
Master Ka was usually good at keeping his emotions in check, but even he was furious.
Still, he quickly composed himself and took a deep breath. "Fine. Since you're so confident, I'll gladly oblige. But if I withstand all three moves, what will you say then?"
Master Duo replied coolly, "Although that's
