The voice clearly belonged to a woman. It sounded pitiful and desolate.

As Jiang Yue drew closer, he saw that the source of the trouble was a large willow tree. Its branches were as thick as little fingers, even more formidable than iron wires, and had tightly bound the woman together with an electric scooter.

There was also a box of food on the scooter's footboard. She seemed to be a survivor who had gone out searching for food, only to be caught by this bizarre willow tree.
