If an ordinary person had been covered and gnawed on by such a swarm of White Bones Monsters, they would have been reduced to nothing but bones long ago.
Yet even after falling, the giant still stubbornly struggled through its final moments.
Unfortunately, it was all in vain. No matter how desperately the giant struggled for its life, the White Bones Monsters that swarmed over it continued to multiply, frantically gnawing at its flesh.
As the giant's life force rapidly declined, its originally sturdy, steel-like skin and muscles naturally lost their toughness as well.
As a result, the skin that had previously taken great effort for the White Bones Monsters to tear open was soon ripped apart by their ceaseless gnawing.
Wounds covered its entire body. The intense pain made the giant convulse and twitch uncontrollably, while desperate, muffled growls rumbled constantly from its throat.
Even a mighty giant, when it fell and reached the brink of death, let out whimpers filled with fear, unwillingness, and despair.
Its fear of death was no different from that of humans.
Boom, boom, boom!
In the area around the ruins of the laboratory building, another giant finally arrived from a distance. It came striding over at the sound, charging toward the dormitory building.
The giant ran at full speed. Every step struck the ground like a giant hammer, booming like a landslide or thunder.
The footsteps drew closer and closer. A shadow that blotted out the sky burst around the corner, charging over like a small mountain.
The giant carried something on its shoulders. Upon closer inspection, it was an enormous chunk of a building from the laboratory ruins. It was as large as a medium-sized truck, yet the giant held it high with both hands as effortlessly as if it weighed nothing.
