The strike was vicious and precise, aimed straight at Jiang Yue's heart.
But it was doomed to fail.
Jiang Yue was on high alert, with multiple layers of protection active the whole time. There was no way a sneak attack like this could succeed.
What's more, Jiang Yue's keen senses had already picked up that something was wrong as this "Han Jingjing" approached.
It wasn't that this Han Jingjing looked unlike the real one. From the outside, she was an exact copy. Even the most precise instruments couldn't tell them apart.
But Jiang Yue knew Han Jingjing inside and out. He knew her every move, including her little habits, expressions, and mannerisms.
There was also something else—a subtle feeling that defied description.
Jiang Yue couldn't sense any of that familiar feeling from the Han Jingjing walking toward him.
So when he was already on guard, it wasn't hard to predict her every move.
As the blade stabbed toward him, Jiang Yue sidestepped with ease and struck the back of her head with a knife-hand.
The figure fell face-first to the ground with a thud.
Jiang Yue didn't give her a chance to get back up. He slapped a Control Talisman against the back of her head.
Jiang Yue had already guessed who could imitate Han Jingjing so perfectly.
It could only be a Replicator.
Jiang Yue wasn't afraid of a mere Replicator anymore. If he knew beforehand what it was, then given that Replicators generally weren't very strong in combat, it wasn't much of a threat.
Jiang Yue planted his foot on the Replicator's head and barked, "Who sent you?"
The Replicator cackled strangely, as if it had no idea what fear was. Its laughter sounded chilling, as though it were completely unaware of its predicament.
Jiang Yue had no
