The ferocious attack came with tremendous force, like a speeding truck crashing into her. Fortunately, Han Jingjing managed to conjure a defensive ice wall with her staff just in time.
Even so, the ice wall, more than a foot thick, had been hastily conjured and wasn't at its strongest. The terrifying force slammed into it, and it shattered instantly, sending shards of ice flying everywhere.
Fortunately, the impact had also neutralized seventy to eighty percent of the force behind the sneak attack.
The force that remained was still considerable, but Han Jingjing had both a Cloud Shield Talisman protecting her and a suit of close-fitting armor she'd bought at an auction.
Together, they offset the blow and absorbed some of the remaining force.
Even so, the force left over sent Han Jingjing flying. Her back and chest felt as if they'd been struck hard by an iron hammer.
Without those two layers of protection, even if her ice wall had absorbed most of the impact, the blow would have left her in terrible shape and might even have endangered her life.
Only when Han Jingjing glanced back did she see that the one who'd attacked her from behind was indeed a giant. It was a new arrival on the battlefield.
The fighting had been so intense that nobody had even noticed when this giant had slipped in.
The sneak attack had caught Han Jingjing completely off guard. She took several deep breaths before finally managing to calm her churning blood.
Her back and chest still felt tight.
Han Jingjing knew she hadn't been seriously injured, but the attack had still done some damage to her internal organs.
Fortunately, she had some special medicine on her. She took out two pills and swallowed them, finally managing to settle her blood completely.
