History
The Era of Strangeness
Early crises included the disappearance of movement out of Yunshan Plaza after 9 p.m., leaving an estimated several hundred people inside 114. Later, returning assessors found Star City under martial law, with armed identity checks at its entrance and at Star City University 378.
An underground organization infiltrated the city's officialdom and sought to create chaos, replace the governor, and take control. It also established trading posts, produced Body Tempering Potions, and recruited Awakeners 422 426.
The Bizarre Tree crisis
A Bizarre Tree appeared in central Star City and drew the Source of Life from spirit species. Jiang Yue attacked its roots, but they regenerated and the tree escaped underground 720. Its agents and other threats contributed to severe destruction; after one night of attacks, Jiang Yue saw almost no intact buildings or visible survivor activity 787.
Jiang Yue and the city's defenders eliminated the tree's agents, but the tree itself went into hiding 929. It later established strongholds around Star City and launched an attack aimed at Chief Executive Han Yiyang 1276 1374.
Reconstruction
About a week after the Battle of Mount Dajin, a task force cornered the weakened Bizarre Tree and destroyed it with a precision bunker-buster missile 1426. Star City's authorities then focused on restoring production and daily life. Its forces had grown capable of handling major threats without relying on Jiang Yue, although a passage to the Underworld prompted disagreement over whether to advance or defend 1426.
