Hua Ruyu took out a Storage Bag and handed it to Chen Lin.
"Why did you do this?"
Chen Lin asked in confusion.
Previously, she had only ever acted independently within the Immortal Palace. This was her first time leaving it.
But after spending so much time with her, he knew that even if she broke free of the rules' restrictions, she would not harbor malice toward him. He was not overly worried.

Hua Ruyu continued, "I also visited the Spirit Demon Realm and explored those Ocean Floor Ruins. I didn't obtain anything else, though, just a few more Bone Shards."
"You went to the Spirit Demon Realm?"
Chen Lin looked even more astonished.
He frowned as he accepted the Storage Bag, but rather than inspecting it immediately, he looked at her and asked, "Are you already able to break free of the contract's restraints?"
She was becoming increasingly independent. He could hardly avoid such suspicions.
As a contracted creature, even if she could act independently, she should not have ventured too far from him, because the farther apart they were, the weaker their connection became.
Grass had once said that, as special contracted creatures, they were deeply reliant on that sense of connection and would not willingly venture far without their master's instructions. Yet Hua Ruyu had independently visited not only the Nightmare Realm but also the Spirit Demon Realm, already breaking through that restraint.
Hua Ruyu was not surprised by Chen Lin's question. Instead, she said solemnly, "Rest assured, Master. The Nightmare Realm rules cannot be escaped.
