Chen Lin left the Myriad Star Tower to seek strength and entered Four Directions City, where he helped Zhou Ximei take control of the Zhou Family and secured a Holy Land Quota. As the Six Great Lineages prepared a Martial Contest, Gu Chenxuan appeared and gave Chen Lin a Jade Talisman, then revealed he had come to see the Holy Pagoda Spirit.

• Chen Lin settled Muese’s family affairs, left the Myriad Star Tower, and traveled into the Eternal Star Sea, where he fought through Soul-Devouring Insects and found a safe island to cultivate with Mother Steamed Buns.
• Chen Lin activated the Tetrahedron Cube and entered Four Directions City, where the city suppressed his powers and Zhou Ximei identified him as her mother's nephew, Lu Jin'an.
• Chen Lin killed Sun Xinglun and Qi Yuanbai, then agreed to help Zhou Ximei seize the Zhou Family in exchange for its Holy Land Quota.
• Chen Lin killed Zhou Xuanwu and his guards, and Zhou Ximei claimed the Earth Spirit Sword, purged her rivals, and gave Chen Lin the pipe Exotic Treasure.
• Chen Lin helped Shen Wenling retrieve three blades of Soul-Restoring Grass, then returned to Zhou Ximei and agreed to compete for a place among the Six Great Lineages.
• Chen Lin tested a fan that could kill through a soul strike, and he and Zhou Ximei attended the gathering where the lineages announced a contest for twenty Jade Talismans.
• Gu Chenxuan demanded two places, killed an expert who challenged him, and gave Chen Lin one Jade Talisman before revealing that his normal form had been a bluff and that he had come to see the Holy Pagoda Spirit.

Chen Lin passed the Holy Pagoda’s trials, escaped into the Void Realm, and built a refuge while searching the Heaven-Connecting River for resources. He reunited with Gu Chenxuan and Shen Anning at the Iron Ship Exchange Meeting, where he began negotiating for a strange fire to advance his cultivation.

• Chen Lin entered the Holy Pagoda’s trials, passed through the River of Destiny, and received a clone-type Destiny Treasure before Niuniu warned him to protect the Mermaid Sword and leave traces of himself in the world.
• Chen Lin examined Niuniu’s gifts, restored Grass’s vitality, and mastered his fish clone while settling in an unclaimed primal interface in the Void Realm.
• Chen Lin refined the Firefly Divine Ability from Zhou Ximei’s talisman and found a space node leading to the Heaven-Connecting River, where he learned to gather finger sand despite the danger of Nihility Fish.
• Chen Lin traded finger sand for starlight stones, visited Shen Anning at the Shen Clan headquarters, and learned more about the Inner World, the Iron Ship Exchange Meeting, and the True King’s Manor.
• After a red-light attacker ambushed him, Chen Lin escaped through the space node and summoned the Superior Deity, who killed the attacker and gave him a divine seed in exchange for Immortal-Slaying Brew.
• Chen Lin fortified the space node, named his refuge the Kaiyuan Grotto-Heaven, appointed White Fox as Enforcing Elder, and planted the divine seed before cultivating for ten years.
• Chen Lin arrived at the Iron Ship Exchange Meeting, where Gu Chenxuan searched publicly for Inner World cultivators and shared All Things Intoxicated with him and Shen Anning.
• Chen Lin acquired starlight stone and offered Elder Jinxuan a Nihility Fish for a strange fire, but Elder Jinxuan demanded at least two fish and the Golden Silkworm Bottle for a replica of the Ancient Buddha Cyan Lamp.

Chen Lin ignited his Demon Star, survived its Entropy-tainted mutation, and followed a displaced group into the Cangyuan Secret Realm, where he found a connection to True Lord Wanmeng and took Shi Yuelan as his disciple. As he built a shop and investigated the Torn Cloth, attacks by heretical cultivators spread through the Qian Domain, leaving Chen Lin seeking a safe route out of the secret realm.

• Chen Lin traded for an Ancient Buddha Cyan Lamp, learned Liu Rumian needed help, and later discovered that activating his Demon Star brought on a dangerous, Entropy-tainted mutation.
• Chen Lin joined Zhao Chengfeng and other storm-displaced cultivators on their way to the Cangyuan Secret Realm, where he killed a golden Void Beast and earned entry tokens.
• Shi Yuelan revealed that He Jiuniang was her mother and that she had traveled with True Lord Wanmeng, whom Chen Lin was searching for, and Chen Lin accepted her as his disciple.
• Chen Lin investigated the Torn Cloth, destroyed Zhe Min’s possessing spiritual will, and learned a passphrase for the Traveling Merchant.
• Chen Lin bound Qian Ziduo with pacts and established the Qingyang Treasure Pavilion, while Shi Yuelan advanced to the Void Realm under his guidance.
• Chen Lin defeated a cloaked demonic cultivator with his Firefly Divine Ability and killed a seductress who ambushed him afterward.
• Chen Lin learned that heretical cultivators had seized grotto-heavens in the Qian Domain and were moving toward the Kan Domain, then asked Yang Tianping about a safe way out of the secret realm.

Chen Lin uncovered more of the plans surrounding the Purple Emperor and Niuniu, then joined Jin Ruhua’s mission to catch Colorful Nihility Fish. After surviving attacks and encountering the Big Black Dog, he returned to Bright Peak with special merit and a Golden Merit Token.

• Chen Lin returned to the Kaiyuan Realm, reunited with Qian Ziduo, and learned that Li Fuyao was Li Yuanlei’s daughter.
• Chen Lin met Cheng Lingchan and Cheng Lingdie in the Purple Ray Grotto-Heaven and learned that Chen Ling'er had reached the Outer World, while Cheng Lingdie suspected she was a possible vessel for the Purple Emperor’s resurrection.
• Chen Lin cultivated for a hundred years, completed his divine servant Tianshu, and opened the sealed Pill Bottle, where the Great Cyan Pill explained its powers and the history of the Lord of the Moon Palace.
• Jin Ruhua conscripted Chen Lin and Tianshu into her unit, tested Chen Lin’s abilities, and revealed that their mission was to catch Colorful Nihility Fish for the Alliance.
• Twelve Cloaked Persons attacked the Spirit Boat, but Jin Ruhua and Chen Lin helped defeat them as the group traveled toward the Heaven-Connecting River’s source.
• The Big Black Dog’s gaze immobilized Chen Lin and the others, but the Mermaid Sword’s phantom approached it and returned with one of its hairs, which Jin Ruhua said could deter powerful Void Beasts.
• Chen Lin treated the injured Mu Qingchen and Luo Sanhuai, while Jin Ruhua returned with a weakened Tianshu and warned Chen Lin not to send a Void Realm Blood Servant into the Heaven-Connecting River again.
• Jin Ruhua returned to Bright Peak and awarded Chen Lin special merit, and Chen Lin revealed his identity before receiving a Golden Merit Token from Elder Tianhan.
