Chen Lin survived the Shadow Scholar’s trials, reached the River of Hope, and gathered allies and strange treasures while seeking a way through the rift. Beyond it, he and Grey found the source of the treasure chests, but a monstrous creature attacked as they tried to escape.

• Chen Lin completed the Shadow Scholar’s books, passed the martial trial with the Ancestral Spirit’s sacrifice, and escaped the collapsing Zodiac Secret Realm with the Mystic Gold Spear.
• In the Darkness Zone, Chen Lin reached the River of Hope, learned how its Treasure Chests and Straw Weavings worked, and used a chest’s task reward to obtain a willow branch from Wang Erwa.
• Chen Lin mastered the straw-woven saber technique to sever his alter ego lines, altered Hu Liwu’s destiny, and joined Ruan Qingxi in claiming an Exquisite Treasure Chest that contained the Punishment Axe.
• Chen Lin met Zhu Jing, refined a False Pill for him, and used the Punishment Axe to sever his final soul alter ego line, with Ruan Qingxi keeping him alive through the backlash.
• After studying the Shadow Scholar’s books and weighing the dangers of ascension, Chen Lin joined Chunjiu’s group in exploring the fissure and used the Crystal Needle to pierce its hidden barrier.
• Chen Lin and the Divine Maiden entered the Tattered Straw Shoe’s toe hole, where they found a grass-filled space containing Treasure Chests, then met Grey beside the river that might feed the River of Hope.
• Chen Lin and Grey recovered strange items from the river, including a Silver Soul-Unlocking Key and a Red Handkerchief that protected him from a Death Pocket, while their attempts to escape through the waterfall met a destructive barrier.
• When a massive tentacle with a pale eyeball attacked, Grey detonated the Divine Crystal to hold it back, and Chen Lin asked her to buy time while he tried another plan.

Chen Lin escaped the fissure, uncovered links between the Exquisite Country and his own powers, and prepared for the Ascension Trial while investigating the Nameless Secret Realm. The arc left him traveling with Bai Lingyu’s group toward an abandoned city after a sea attack, with Zuo Xiwen’s presence and a tremendous crash raising new dangers.

• Chen Lin escaped the fissure, traded with the arriving cultivators, and later joined their fight against the Diling with Little White Bear’s help.
• Chen Lin traveled to the Goose-Feather Well, entered the ruins of Yuguang Country, and learned that the Exquisite Treasure Tree had protected Exquisite Country and might be linked to his nine-aperture exquisite heart.
• Chen Lin obtained treasures from the ruins, returned to Matihai Mountain, and spent decades cultivating before joining Bai Lingyu’s trading-convention assignment in Xiangyang City.
• Chen Lin established a branch of the Heavenly Star Treasure Pavilion, acquired the Formless Emblem, and learned from Bai Lingyu that it and his heart might tie him to Exquisite Country.
• Chen Lin survived an attack by Ning Qing, studied the Emblem and the Soul Interrogation Academy’s formula, and simulated Secondary Soul Dissolution after condensing thirty-six Holy Spirits.
• Chen Lin learned that the Ascension Trial would begin in thirty-six years, obtained Soul Interrogation Beads, and joined Bai Lingyu’s dangerous expedition in search of an Exotic Treasure.
• Chen Lin helped Bai Lingyu’s survivors reach shore after Formless Fish wrecked their boat, then continued toward an abandoned city with Zuo Xiwen, who had invited him to explore the Pagoda.
• Bai Lingyu warned Chen Lin that Zuo Xiwen had been siphoning power from him, and a tremendous crash from the sea shook the ground.

Chen Lin survived the Nameless Secret Realm, strengthened his soul and Dominator powers, and prepared for the Ascension Trial while protecting his companions. After the Feng Family threatened him, he killed its leaders and captured the divine being Qingtian, who pointed him toward a possible link to the Feng Ancestor.

• Chen Lin survived the Drum Frog’s attack, then escaped the ruined underground realm and endured the silver-fish trials before entering the Inheritance Ground and inheriting the Sea-Suppressing Sword Formula.
• Chen Lin revived Blind Girl, found the underground Spirit Liquid Pool, and broke the divine curse on his green heart aperture, resisting the Exquisite Country Emperor’s attempt to seize his body.
• Chen Lin and Blind Girl traveled to the Sword Clan, where Blind Girl gained the Sword Stele inheritance, and Chen Lin later survived his Great Dao Tribulation in the Star Ruins.
• Chen Lin escaped a conscription party, returned to Beihan City, and helped Bai Yujing free Bai Lingyu from the Spirit Refining Tower while Night-Forgotten Owl’s trap failed.
• Lian Zizhang explained the Ascension Trial, and Chen Lin gathered resources and companions before using the God-Slaying Seal to destroy the Divine Curse and sever the soul threads attached to him.
• After learning that the Feng Family had sealed Beihan City and demanded Yue Bingling, Chen Lin followed Feng Qing to the Huang Family, killed Feng Qing and Zhao Qianming, then took the Soul-Absorbing Bell.
• Chen Lin led Grass and Blind Girl against the Feng Family, killed the Feng Patriarch with the God-Slaying Seal, and subdued the divine being Qingtian, who revealed a possible connection between a red jade tablet and the Feng Ancestor’s residence.

Chen Lin tracked the Feng Family Ancestor, completed parts of the Ascension Trial, and entered the Abandoned Land after evolving his talent. He formed a group with Tutu, Yuan Zhimeng, and Liu Xu, and began uncovering the connection between the Seven Slashes of Opening Heavens and his own inheritance.

• Chen Lin used the Array of Destiny to locate the Feng Family Ancestor, then found him chained in a blood-red space and struck down his Evil God form with the God-Slaying Seal.
• Chen Lin escaped the red jade space, crafted the Disorderly Boat, and was badly injured when an unknown presence interrupted its tribulation.
• After the Ascension Trial began, Chen Lin searched for its targets, sealed a sky rift, and obtained yearning dust, while the Heavenly Dao tried to direct him toward the Anti-Spirit Cultivators.
• Chen Lin evolved his destiny heart aperture into the Lake of Talent, experienced the lives of many people, and gained the talent Ten Attempts One Hit.
• Chen Lin entered the Abandoned Land with Grass, lost his powers and supplies, and joined Tutu after rescuing him from the river.
• Chen Lin and Tutu reached a settlement, where Chen Lin paid Feng Sanniang to free Yuan Zhimeng and later arranged travel toward Xuelian City.
• Qin Ziwang intervened in a fight at the inn, then took Chen Lin, Tutu, and Yuan Zhimeng to Xuelian City, where Liu Xu agreed to work for Yue Country as an intelligence agent.
• Chen Lin trained with Liu Xu for three months and used Tutu’s Jade Pendant to reveal the Seven Slashes of Opening Heavens, which Liu Xu recognized as the technique’s general outline.
