But the fluid I expected on the back of my hand didn't appear. Tuanzi appeared on my right shoulder instead, only... he was acting
like a sulking child, refusing to look at me.

Tuanzi glanced at me, then closed his eyes and tipped up his chin—if he had one. He nodded with an unmistakably haughty look,
and black streams of fluid appeared on the back of my hand again.
They quickly shifted the huge rock out of the way.
I went to Gin-san's scale. A good part of it had come loose, and a section of the skin beneath
seemed to have slipped out of place,
separating from the surface without tearing.
I grabbed the edge of the scale.
Even a single scale weighed several hundred pounds. I strained to adjust its angle and instantly grasped
how that section of Gin-san's skin fit together. Then
I pushed upward, sliding the lifted scale back into place.
Once it was fixed, Gin-san looked back at me and nodded. His body began to writhe, pressing
the scale beneath the Titan.
As long as the Titan wasn't rolled over, nothing could strike that weak spot accurately.
Gin-san was pretty clever after all...
