I turned back and hauled the carriage full of food along with us. Then I had Tuanzi seal Little White's wound, temporarily taking the place
of Little White's blood vessels. But I didn't dare let Tuanzi go
any further.
Tuanzi couldn't speak, so I had no way to learn exactly how its devouring ability worked. If it swallowed Little White while trying to give Little White nutrients,
that
would be a disaster.
So I only had Tuanzi maintain the blood vessels and skin on Little White's lower body for the time being, while waiting for Little White to heal. Meanwhile,
I took plenty of food from the carriage.
There were lots of cans. I opened them and gave some to Little White.
As for Gin-san, the whole carriage wouldn't be enough for one meal. Feeding Gin-san could wait until we reached the tropical rainforest.
At least there should be plenty of large creatures there for Gin-san to eat.
With Gin-san's constitution, one meal a month was enough to stay alive.
So although Gin-san was tired, Gin-san wasn't weak the way a person would be.
Carrying me, Little White, and the carriage, Gin-san raced into the distance. Of course the horde tried to stop us, but Gin-san had already
defeated the giant Titan. There was
no longer a monster among the Zombies that could give Gin-san trouble.
We broke through the horde without a hitch. Endless ranks of Zombies covered hundreds of kilometers around us,
packed so tightly together that there was no space between them. Luoyang
had finally fallen, but... there was no one left inside. The last ship was already pulling away from the coast.
From where I was, I could just make out the ship as it departed. Its lights swept toward us, as though
it was sending
