Like a stiff machine, Dugu Yan slowly raised her head, only to see Dugu Bo nod in agreement.
There was nothing wrong with what Chen Ming had said, but it was far too misleading. Dugu Yan murmured those words, feeling as though she was about to faint.
"It means Grandpa approved of you, and then you discussed our marriage with him..."
With a cry, Dugu Yan crouched down and covered her face with both hands.
"Grandpa!"
"It's not that I disagree with this! But for something as important as marriage, shouldn't you at least tell me first? Am I getting married just like that?"
Though Dugu Yan looked as if she were crying, there were no tears—she was merely using her voice to conceal her inner turmoil.
To be honest, ever since that had happened, Dugu Yan had felt something strange toward Chen Ming. Deep down, she believed she would never be able to marry anyone else. It was all Chen Ming's fault, so Chen Ming had to take responsibility.
But girls were thin-skinned, after all. Dugu Yan appeared mature and calm before others, like an elegant older sister, yet before her grandfather, she was still a little girl who had never grown up.
In her mind, she should have made up her own mind first, then dragged Chen Ming along to inform her grandfather—not have her grandfather drag Chen Ming over to inform her!
