The aura came fast, without warning, and was extremely dangerous!
Before he could even think, Fang Yue spun around and drew his sword in a slash at a speed even he could barely follow!

the attacker's head rolled away, and his body hit the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Fang Yue, however, had a deep gash in his left leg. It sizzled, as though it were more than a simple wound, with some kind of strange curse attached to it!
Looking at the head rolling across the ground, Fang Yue froze.
He had seen this man before.
At the civil and military assembly, the man had stood among the Qing Si ranks.
He hadn't been near the front, but he was definitely part of the Qing Si. And since he'd appeared at the assembly, his official position was probably a fairly high one.
