Ming's soft laughter came from the back of the Eight-Handed Anomaly, but Ox Seat couldn't hear a thing. He struggled violently, his eyes fixed straight ahead, wide open as he watched the woman he had protected and fought for—the very reason for everything he had done, the one he had thought of day and night—hit the ground with a heavy thud, blood splattering everywhere.

Ox Seat let out a piercing scream. His eyes rolled back, and he gradually lost consciousness.
"Talk about noisy. At least he passed out."
Only then did Ming uncover her ears. She turned to look at the roof of Qing Gao Tower.
"Phoenix King and Phoenix Queen are even trickier than I expected. Good thing I kept a backup plan and didn't go up there to watch the fun. Otherwise, things would've gotten really troublesome."
