Background

Tang Xiaoman was displaced from a small city near Qingzhou when his family fled disaster ten years earlier. During a beast tide in the wilderness, his younger sister was separated from the family and lost. His father exhausted the family’s wealth searching for her, then went alone to the dangerous Northern Continent; his fate remains unknown. Tang cultivates, takes Hunter King Hall missions, and pursues bounties in the hope that greater strength and wealth will help him find his sister and father. 72

He first encounters Qin Jue at Silver Moon Bay alongside Pei Qingyan. The two initially intend to take a share of Qin’s gains, but their attempted robbery turns into an alliance of necessity when Shen Yutang, Liu Yun, and their forces surround them. 19

Tang fights beside Qin and Pei against Meng Kuang, a Blood Melting Realm expert. Though initially shaken by the realm gap, he chooses to stake his life on Qin’s plan, using the forbidden second layer of Blood Boil to hold Meng Kuang for three breaths.
