Quite a few people had come to visit the Mechanical Castle. Recently, the plans to build a new spaceship had attracted many engineers, and countless people had come because of its reputation. Some wanted to learn what the Platinum Eye liked, while others hoped to find inspiration—mechanical innovation also depended on the occasional flash of insight.
There weren't quite enough robots to serve as guides.
"Does that pink suit of armor look nice?" Yan Jiayu pointed at a suit of mechanical pet armor in the Children's Mechanical Museum. It was an auxiliary exoskeleton developed to help disabled pets move around freely.
"I don't think Big Mao needs one." Xu Huo turned around, only to find himself facing a dark expression.
Yan Jiayu flashed a row of white teeth. "But it's pretty!"
Xu Huo checked the price on his Jixin Terminal and showed it to her. "It's still available for purchase."
Yan Jiayu's fondness for it faded as soon as she saw the price. She turned and gestured to Tu Xiaoxiao, who had wandered off, then said to him, "Take your time looking around. We'll come back later."
Xu Huo nodded. "Just let me know if you need anything."
Yan Jiayu made an "OK" sign, put her protective hood back on, and disappeared into the crowd.
Xu Huo continued down the exhibition corridor.
The Mechanical Castle was very old, with even more signs of renovation than Rose Castle. It was also much larger. Judging by the floor plan, it could almost be called a castle complex. It sat right at the center of Fifth Avenue, with other government offices and important buildings surrounding it.
Besides all kinds of household machines and robots, the castle also displayed quite a few weapons, including the new energy cannon Bai Kou had lent out earlier.
