  • Fang Mo led Old Yan, Iron Bull, Mo Qianshan, and Li Mingyue into the Imperial Palace, where the split spirit’s law had erased or twisted the minds of those inside.
  • Fang Mo confronted the Old Emperor, who had fused with the being in the coffin, and rescued Crown Prince Zhao Heng before attacking the transformed figure.
  • Fang Mo resisted the split spirit’s mind control and national-fortune power, then shattered its remaining vertical pupils with the God Slaying Saber as dawn broke.
Chapters 276–300 Vol. 3 Read

Ch. 276Blood Fiend Infusion Hastens the Demon Embryo

Fang Mo fed two thousand Blood Fiend Pills and a Divine Soul Thread into the Divine Fetus, causing it to hatch into a powerful three-headed, six-armed being. He named it Wumian and left the Demon Rearing Hall with it after Nian Nu'er warned that the Imperial Clan Court’s three old monsters would soon emerge from seclusion.

  • Mo Qianshan’s men poured two thousand Blood Fiend Pills into the vat, intensifying the Divine Fetus’s violent pulsing and stretching its membrane.
  • Fang Mo cut away a Divine Soul Thread and fed it into the Divine Fetus, calming the struggle inside and triggering its hatching.
  • A black, three-headed, six-armed being emerged from the vat, bowed to Fang Mo, and acknowledged him as its lord.
  • Fang Mo named the being Wumian and told it to test its strength, while Iron Bull watched and Qian Dagui put away his Life-Saving Talismans.
  • Nian Nu'er warned Fang Mo that the Imperial Clan Court’s three old monsters would soon come out of seclusion, and Fang Mo set off with Wumian to meet them.

Ch. 277Reshaping the Rules, Establishing a New Order

Fang Mo reorganized the seven territories under his control into four halls to prepare for an attack from the Imperial Clan Court. As the halls began mobilizing, Nian Nu'er identified the approaching presence as the Heaven Devouring Hou, a beast kept in the Imperial Mausoleum.

  • Fang Mo divided the Heavenly Prison's occupied territories into the Punishment Hall, Alchemy Hall, Weapon Forging Hall, and Troop Reserve Hall, assigning Old Yan, Mo Qianshan, and Iron Bull key responsibilities.
  • Fang Mo ordered all four halls to begin operating within three days, warning that the enemy might arrive sooner; Old Yan and the others pledged to have their preparations ready in one day.
  • Fang Mo stayed behind in the Duty Room as a heavy presence pressed over the city from the north.
  • Nian Nu'er told Fang Mo that the approaching presence belonged to the Heaven Devouring Hou, a beast kept in the Imperial Mausoleum.

Ch. 278The Royal Foundation Bared Its Fangs

The Old Emperor enlisted Great Qian’s ancient ancestors to release the Heaven Devouring Hou beneath the Imperial Palace, hoping to use it against the Heavenly Prison warden. As the beast’s cry cracked the sky over the Divine Capital, Crown Prince Zhao Heng sealed the city and prepared to wait for the conflict’s survivor.

  • The Old Emperor asked the white-haired ancestor and rust-armored Old Zhao to help Great Qian face the Heavenly Prison warden.
  • Old Zhao began undoing the Sealing Array Disc while the white-haired ancestor explained that Taizu had brought the Heaven Devouring Hou from the Northern Border three centuries earlier.
  • The ancestors warned that the Heaven Devouring Hou had grown stronger than the white-haired ancestor and could not be controlled for long.
  • The Heaven Devouring Hou smashed through the floor and emerged from the abyss beneath the Imperial Palace.
  • The beast’s cry shook the palace and opened a crack in the sky above the Divine Capital.
  • Crown Prince Zhao Heng ordered the Six Inner City Gates locked and declared that the Eastern Palace would help neither side.

Ch. 279A gathering storm weighed upon the Divine Capital

Fang Mo prepared the Heavenly Prison for the approach of the Heaven Devouring Hou, then faced the beast and its two handlers at the main entrance. The beast fired a devastating blast at him as the Prison Suppressor Patterns lit up.

  • Fang Mo learned from Nian Nu'er that the Heaven Devouring Hou was approaching and would arrive within an incense stick, breaking Spirit Veins as it came.
  • Fang Mo ordered the Punishment Hall to retreat into Block C, Room Shen prison, leaving the main entrance as the only open route.
  • Fang Mo activated the Prison Suppression Domain across the entire Heavenly Prison and ordered Wumian to wait in the Troop Reserve Hall.
  • Fang Mo and his allies took positions at the main entrance as the Heaven Devouring Hou arrived with two Half-step Dharma Aspect figures on its back.
  • Fang Mo told the white-haired figure he intended to take the beast for himself, and the Heaven Devouring Hou fired a pillar of light at him as the Prison Suppressor Patterns lit up.

Ch. 280A Fierce Beast at the Gates Shook the Heavenly Prison

Fang Mo used the Heavenly Prison's Thick Earth Law to withstand the Heaven Devouring Hou's attack, then opened the barrier and stepped outside to confront the beast and its riders. He ended by provoking the beast into fury as the White-Haired Thing looked on.

  • Fang Mo reinforced the Heavenly Prison's gates with a Mystic Yellow Light Screen that withstood the Heaven Devouring Hou's pillar of light.
  • The White-Haired Thing and Rust-Armored Thing identified Fang Mo's connection to the prison's earth veins, and the Heaven Devouring Hou battered the screen with its claws.
  • Fang Mo ordered Old Yan, Iron Bull, Mo Qianshan, and Qian Dagui to their posts, then told Wumian to remain in Ji Block.
  • Fang Mo used the Thick Earth Law to open a gap in the screen and walked out to face the Heaven Devouring Hou.
  • Fang Mo insulted the beast and its riders, igniting the Heaven Devouring Hou's savagery.

Ch. 281The Demon Embryo's First Battle: Rending an Attendant

Fang Mo wounded the Heaven Devouring Hou by driving the God Slaying Saber into a gap beneath its jaw, then summoned Wumian to fight the two attendants. As Wumian battled the Rust-Armored Thing and the White-Haired Thing, Fang Mo reclaimed his saber and advanced on the beast.

  • Fang Mo learned from Nian Nu'er that the Heaven Devouring Hou's scales had vulnerable gaps, then dodged its attacks while the two attendants watched.
  • Fang Mo climbed beneath the beast's jaw and stabbed the gap between its third and fourth scales, leaving the God Slaying Saber lodged in the wound.
  • The White-Haired Thing and the Rust-Armored Thing jumped down as the wounded Heaven Devouring Hou thrashed, and they recognized Fang Mo's saber as forged from fragments of Taizu's Dragon Slaying Sword.
  • Fang Mo summoned Wumian from the Heavenly Prison, and Wumian struck the Rust-Armored Thing while the White-Haired Thing attacked with law-bearing threads.
  • The White-Haired Thing's threads pierced Wumian, but Fang Mo pulled the God Slaying Saber back and declared that the Heaven Devouring Hou was his opponent.

Ch. 282Chaos Yin Yang Against a Fierce Beast

Fang Mo used Reverse Tendons Defying the Norm to disrupt the Heaven Devouring Hou’s movements, then wounded its forelegs and hind leg with the God Slaying Saber. As the Hou struggled to recover, the Old Emperor ordered the Imperial Clan Court’s third ancestor awakened.

  • Fang Mo made the Heaven Devouring Hou injure itself by using Reverse Tendons Defying the Norm, then cut deeply into its right foreleg.
  • The White-Haired Thing and the Rust-Armored Thing recognized Fang Mo’s ability as the Divine Ability of Chaos Yin Yang and discussed keeping the Hou under control.
  • Fang Mo evaded the Hou’s attacks and used Reverse Tendons Defying the Norm again to expose a brief weakness in its right hind knee.
  • Fang Mo struck the Hou’s knee joint, wounded it to the bone, and taunted the White-Haired Thing as the beast knelt.
  • The Old Emperor watched the battle through the Copper Mirror and ordered the Imperial Clan Court’s third ancestor awakened.

Ch. 283Pulling tendons and bones to refine Great Medicine

Fang Mo restrained the Heaven Devouring Hou, climbed onto its back, and tore out its Dragon Emperor Bloodline spinal tendon. After the chains broke, the Rust-Armored Thing threatened to detonate a God-Destroying Pearl, leaving Fang Mo facing an imminent blast.

  • Fang Mo transformed the Prison Suppressor Patterns into chains that bound the Heaven Devouring Hou’s three foreclaws.
  • Following Nian Nu’er’s instructions, Fang Mo climbed onto the beast and pulled out three back spikes while Old Yan cut through the flesh beneath its scales.
  • Fang Mo severed the spinal tendon’s rootlets with Geng Gold Killing Aura and Nine Nether Spring Surge, then extracted the thirty-foot tendon as the chains shattered.
  • The wounded Heaven Devouring Hou toppled, and Fang Mo landed with its spinal tendon as the Rust-Armored Thing revealed a God-Destroying Pearl.
  • Nian Nu’er warned Fang Mo that the Forbidden Artifact would annihilate everything within three hundred feet, while the Rust-Armored Thing raised it above his head.

Ch. 284The forbidden artifact self-destructs into nothingness

Fang Mo survived the Rust-Armored Thing’s God-Destroying Pearl by silencing its blast and shielding himself with layers of earth. The White-Haired Thing fled after revealing that Fang Mo was the Heavenly Prison’s original master, while Fang Mo turned to deal with the wounded Heaven Devouring Hou.

  • Fang Mo ordered Old Yan to retreat into the Heavenly Prison as the Rust-Armored Thing prepared to detonate the God-Destroying Pearl.
  • Fang Mo used Myriad Sounds Annihilation and the Spleen Earth Divine Treasure to slow the blast and build four layers of earth barriers around himself.
  • The God-Destroying Pearl erased the Rust-Armored Thing and devastated the surrounding area, but Fang Mo emerged with only scorched clothing and singed hair.
  • The White-Haired Thing retreated and told Fang Mo that the Heavenly Prison had always existed and that Fang Mo was its original master.
  • Fang Mo let the White-Haired Thing escape and turned toward the collapsed Heaven Devouring Hou.

Ch. 285The Heaven Devouring Hou's Death Shook Imperial Power

Fang Mo killed the mortally wounded Heaven Devouring Hou and ordered its remains sent to the Blood Pool. The beast’s death shattered the Old Emperor’s spying mirror and weakened him, while Fang Mo learned the Heavenly Prison rested on ancient foundations tied to his Prison Suppressor patterns and ordered Wumian to guard its entrance.

  • Fang Mo cut off the Heaven Devouring Hou’s head and ordered Iron Bull and Old Yan to take its remains to the Blood Pool to feed Wumian.
  • Nian Nu'er explained that the Old Emperor’s Spectating Spell was collapsing because the God-Destroying Pearl’s force had rebounded through the spying connection.
  • The copper mirror before the White Bone Dragon Throne shattered, injuring the Old Emperor and revealing that the White-Haired One had returned alone while Old Zhao and the Hou were gone.
  • The Old Emperor abandoned plans to issue an edict and ordered the White-Haired One to come see him.
  • Fang Mo questioned Nian Nu'er about the Heavenly Prison’s origins and learned that its ancient foundations bore law imprints matching his Prison Suppressor patterns.
  • Fang Mo ordered Wumian fed with Heaven Devouring Hou meat and assigned him to guard the Heavenly Prison’s main entrance.

Ch. 286Heads hung at the gate for all the world to see

Fang Mo displayed the Heaven Devouring Hou’s horn and Old Zhao’s helmet above the Heavenly Prison Gate, then arranged for the Hou’s blood to be refined and shared. As the Crown Prince’s troops moved to seize the city gates, Fang Mo prepared to trace the escaped white-haired elder through a strand of his hair and interrogate a captive.

  • Fang Mo ordered Iron Bull to hang the Heaven Devouring Hou’s horn and Old Zhao’s helmet atop the Heavenly Prison Gate as a warning to the Old Emperor.
  • Fang Mo told Mo Qianshan to refine the Hou’s blood and allocated drops to Old Yan, Iron Bull, Mo Qianshan, Li Mingyue, and Nian Nu'er.
  • Nian Nu'er reported that the Crown Prince’s forces were moving to take control of the Divine Capital’s nine gates, and Fang Mo chose not to interfere.
  • Fang Mo revealed that he had saved a strand of the escaped white-haired elder’s hair and planned to use it to trace the elder’s Divine Soul presence.
  • Fang Mo went deeper into the Heavenly Prison to interrogate a captive while the Crown Prince’s troops passed the gate and saw the displayed trophies.

Ch. 287Soul-searching revealed his father's trail

Fang Mo used a strand of the white-haired elder’s hair to learn that Fang Dashan had stolen a Key Fragment of Prison Suppressor from the Imperial Clan Court’s Underground Palace eighteen years earlier. The Crown Prince secured all Nine Gates of the Divine Capital, while Fang Mo postponed searching for the fragment and headed to the Alchemy Hall.

  • Fang Mo soul-searched the white-haired elder’s lingering presence and saw Fang Dashan break into the Imperial Clan Court’s Underground Palace eighteen years earlier.
  • Fang Mo learned that Fang Dashan took a Copper Fragment, which Nian Nu'er identified as a Key Fragment of Prison Suppressor, and that the sixteenth Emperor had ordered him let go.
  • Nian Nu'er suspected Fang Dashan hid the Copper Fragment beneath his tomb at the Mass Grave, where Fang Mo had not fully excavated.
  • Old Yan told Fang Mo that the Crown Prince had secured the Nine Gates and sent word for him to rest and recover.
  • Fang Mo decided to deal with his current duties first and headed toward the Alchemy Hall.

Ch. 288The Heavenly Prison Expanded and Swallowed the Shadows

After the Heaven Devouring Hou blood strengthened the Heavenly Prison’s key fighters, Fang Mo recruited the Divine Capital’s displaced gangs and expanded the Prison Suppression Domain across three surrounding streets. The Heavenly Prison became a growing power base, while Fang Mo prepared to investigate what remained hidden beneath the Imperial Clan Court’s Underground Palace.

  • Old Yan, Iron Bull, Mo Qianshan, and Li Mingyue changed after receiving the Hou blood, and Li Mingyue recovered to the mid Organ Refining Realm with a stronger foundation.
  • Fang Mo ordered the rogue groups seeking a new patron to join the Heavenly Prison officially and assigned their members to its four halls.
  • Fang Mo sold half the Hou’s scales and bones to fund the purchase and expansion of the streets around the Heavenly Prison.
  • Li Mingyue registered the new recruits, while the Prison Suppressor Patterns spread beneath the surrounding area and extended the Prison Suppression Domain.
  • Qian Dagui reported 347 recruits, and Fang Mo ordered their assignments, increased Alchemy Hall production, and Hou-bone weapons for senior cultivators.
  • Fang Mo headed deeper into the Heavenly Prison to investigate what White Hair’s memories had revealed beneath the Imperial Clan Court’s Underground Palace.

Ch. 289Dao Sect's Qing Xuzi laid his plans anew

Qing Xuzi’s attempt to divine Fang Mo’s fate destroyed the Dao Sect’s compass and left him convinced Fang Mo threatened the sect. He sent Su Qinghan to the Divine Capital with the Dao Sect’s cultivation and formation texts, while Fang Mo prepared for her arrival and continued stabilizing his power.

  • Qing Xuzi’s divination of Fang Mo backfired, shattered the Eight Trigrams Bronze Compass, and injured him.
  • Qing Xuzi told Su Qinghan that Fang Mo was reshaping the laws and ordered her to deliver transcriptions of the Scripture Pavilion’s first three floors to him.
  • Su Qinghan accepted the mission and departed for the Divine Capital, despite objecting to the damage it might do to the Dao Sect’s dignity.
  • Fang Mo discussed with Nian Nu’er how to combine his powers into an inner heaven and earth and anticipated the Dao Sect’s delivery.
  • Old Yan reported that Mo Qianshan had punished three troublemakers and that a powerful presence was approaching from the east.
  • Fang Mo told Li Mingyue to greet the approaching guest at the Heavenly Prison’s main gate and identify them as a scripture courier.

Ch. 290The Saintess Knocked to Offer True Scriptures

Su Qinghan delivered a rubbing of the Dao Sect’s scripture to Fang Mo at the Divine Capital Heavenly Prison, intending to settle a debt while keeping a Dao Sect observer near him. Fang Mo rapidly mastered and rewrote its inner-world theory, sent Su Qinghan away with a threat to the Dao Sect, and prepared to break the Meridian Opening Extreme Stage Barrier.

  • Su Qinghan arrived at the Heavenly Prison and followed Li Mingyue through its guarded corridors to Fang Mo’s duty room.
  • Su Qinghan offered Fang Mo a rubbing of the first three floors of the Taishang Palace Scripture Pavilion and proposed staying to explain it.
  • Fang Mo dismissed the Dao Sect’s theory, then used Prison Suppressor to analyze the rubbing as he rapidly turned its pages.
  • Fang Mo demonstrated a profound grasp of Dao Sect Pure Qi and declared that inner worlds were forged through slaughter, devastating Su Qinghan’s confidence.
  • Fang Mo accepted the scripture, declared the karmic debt settled, and threatened to flatten Taishang Palace if Dao Sect members entered the Divine Capital without permission.
  • Su Qinghan left in panic as Fang Mo completed the theoretical framework and prepared to break the Meridian Opening Extreme Stage Barrier.

Ch. 291Breaking Through the Barrier with Complete Integration

Fang Mo forcibly linked the Five Elements Laws within his body and broke through to the perfected Divine Treasure Realm, triggering a massive phenomenon over the Heavenly Prison. He emerged from the duty room and ordered his people to prepare to collect debts.

  • Fang Mo ordered Old Yan and Iron Bull to seal off Block C, Room Shen, then began integrating the Five Elements Laws in his inner world.
  • Fang Mo completed the Five Elements Cycle, rebuilt his shattered meridians, and broke through to a perfected Divine Treasure Realm.
  • The Prison Suppression Domain expanded as five pillars of light rose over the Heavenly Prison and formed a Five Elements Wheel that drained Spiritual Qi from the Divine Capital.
  • Su Qinghan fell to her knees in fear, the Old Emperor watched in despair, and Crown Prince Zhao Heng crushed his White Jade Cup as they witnessed the phenomenon.
  • Fang Mo emerged from the duty room, told Old Yan and Iron Bull to prepare, and announced that he was going to collect some debts.

Ch. 292A heaven-shaking phenomenon drew covetous eyes

Fang Mo formed a Five Elements Cycle and reached Divine Treasure perfection, drawing the attention of powerful observers across the Divine Capital. As the Old Emperor neared death, the Crown Prince offered to divide Great Qian and the Heavenly Prison, but Fang Mo left the offer unanswered.

  • Fang Mo used Prison Suppressor Patterns to cut off forty-seven strands of probing Spiritual Sense and confined the Five Elements phenomenon above the Heavenly Prison.
  • A hidden elder beneath Yong'an Ward recognized the Prison Suppressor Law and ordered his people to stay away from the Heavenly Prison.
  • A gray-robed old man in East City explained that Fang Mo had forced five God King Laws into a cycle, held in check by the dark-gold patterns.
  • Fang Mo told Old Yan that he had reached Divine Treasure perfection and learned from Nian Nu'er that the Old Emperor might survive only three to seven days.
  • The Crown Prince sent Fang Mo a letter proposing that Great Qian and the Heavenly Prison divide their realms after the Old Emperor's death, and Fang Mo gave no reply.

Ch. 293The Crown Prince bared his edge and forced the palace's hand

Fang Mo refused the Crown Prince’s offer to stay out of the coup in exchange for a State Edict, choosing instead to seal the Heavenly Prison and remain neutral. After learning that the Old Emperor was using his Essence Blood to power a formation beneath the Palace of Heavenly Purity, Fang Mo sent Wumian to investigate as the Crown Prince’s forces advanced.

  • Fang Mo learned that the Crown Prince’s troops were moving toward the inner palace under Imperial Guards banners.
  • Shen Wance told Fang Mo that Zhao Heng wanted him to stay out of the coup and offered to make the Heavenly Prison an independent domain by State Edict; Fang Mo refused.
  • Shen Wance revealed that a formation beneath the Old Emperor’s bedchamber was consuming the emperor’s Essence Blood and drawing in Death Qi, and Nian Nu’er suspected it was nurturing a corpse.
  • Fang Mo detained Shen Wance in the Heavenly Prison, sealed its gates, and ordered Iron Bull to have Wumian guard the entrance.
  • Fang Mo asked Nian Nu’er whether Wumian could sense the formation and decided to send him to take a look as the first drumbeat sounded at the Meridian Gate.

Ch. 294Watching Coldly as Dogs Tore at Each Other

While the Crown Prince’s troops attacked the Imperial Palace, Fang Mo sent Wumian underground to investigate a formation beneath the Palace of Heavenly Purity. Wumian uncovered an ancient coffin whose awakening presence warned Fang Mo that the palace battle could unleash something inhuman, so he ordered the Heavenly Prison to prepare for battle.

  • Fang Mo sent Wumian through the underground strata to find a formation thirty zhang beneath the Palace of Heavenly Purity, while Li Mingyue guarded Shen Wance’s cell.
  • Wumian reached the formation and showed Fang Mo a white-bone coffin covered in Old Gods’ script that absorbed Essence Blood and Death Qi.
  • A rune shaped like a closed eye opened, sending a terrifying presence through Wumian’s connection and revealing golden slit pupils that Nian Nu'er said might belong to something outside this world.
  • Fang Mo cut off the connection and learned that Wumian was fleeing back in fear as the Crown Prince’s troops entered the Palace of Heavenly Purity.
  • Fang Mo ordered Mo Qianshan and the Heavenly Prison’s halls to prepare for battle, and told Old Yan that something inhuman beneath the Imperial Palace would soon confront the Crown Prince.

Ch. 295The Imperial Blood Sacrifice Summons an Evil God

Fang Mo learned that the Old Emperor’s blood sacrifice had awakened the entity inside the White Bone Coffin and warned Shen Wance that the Crown Prince’s army could trigger the formation. As the summoning door opened above the Palace of Heavenly Purity, the prison suppressor patterns began pulsing in time with Fang Mo’s heartbeat.

  • Wumian returned terrified, and Nian Nu'er learned that the entity in the coffin had awakened as the Old Emperor’s essence blood activated its eye rune.
  • Fang Mo questioned Shen Wance about the Crown Prince’s plan, then warned him to keep the army from touching the palace’s patterns or spilling blood inside.
  • Nian Nu'er revealed that the Old Emperor had killed at least thirty people in the Imperial Harem, providing enough blood to begin an incomplete summoning.
  • Fang Mo sent Old Yan to fetch Iron Bull and Mo Qianshan as underground booms shook the Divine Capital and the Heavenly Prison’s suppressor patterns lit up.
  • Nian Nu'er announced that the door had opened, and a gray-gold rift appeared above the Palace of Heavenly Purity as the prison patterns pulsed with Fang Mo’s heartbeat.

Ch. 296An evil god emerged to throw the Divine Capital into chaos

Fang Mo learned that the gray-gold mist released by the Old Emperor was likely a split spirit of Spiritual Terrace Burial Cosmos, a God King who could make people worship by altering their consciousness. After realizing that consuming the split spirit could unite the God King laws within him, Fang Mo gathered his allies and headed for the Imperial Palace.

  • Nian Nu'er identified the being in the coffin as possibly a split spirit of Spiritual Terrace Burial Cosmos, who governed consciousness and could command the other God Kings.
  • Fang Mo used Wumian's memories to see the Old Emperor conducting a blood-fueled ritual and gray-gold mist making the Crown Prince's soldiers kneel and worship.
  • Fang Mo told Old Yan, Iron Bull, and Mo Qianshan that the Old Emperor had killed people in the Imperial Harem to release an ancient being from a coffin.
  • Li Mingyue said the Demon Suppression Division's rule made the Old Emperor an enemy of all under heaven, and she wanted to kill him.
  • Fang Mo wondered what would happen if he ate Spiritual Terrace Burial Cosmos's split spirit, and Nian Nu'er said its laws could unite the laws within him into a true prison suppressor.
  • Fang Mo told Old Yan, Iron Bull, Mo Qianshan, and Li Mingyue that they were heading to the Imperial Palace.

Ch. 297Taking the Fight to the Hunting Ground

Fang Mo led Old Yan, Iron Bull, Mo Qianshan, and Li Mingyue into the Imperial Palace to confront the grayish-gold Consciousness Domain, which had driven soldiers to worship or attack one another. After entering the Palace of Heavenly Purity, Fang Mo faced the unknown threat as Wang Youan fought to hold the Western City Gate and guarded a copper fragment bearing Prison Suppressor Law imprints.

  • Fang Mo learned from Nian Nu'er that the Spiritual Terrace Burial Cosmos Split Spirit's Consciousness Domain was spreading, then led four companions toward the Imperial Palace under the protection of his Prison Suppressor Patterns.
  • Fang Mo passed the Crown Prince's reserve soldiers and found kneeling men at the Meridian Gate whose consciousness had been overwritten by the grayish-gold Law.
  • Fang Mo reached Zhao Heng at the Gate of Heavenly Purity and heard how the force inside had turned his soldiers against one another.
  • Fang Mo declared that the thing inside was his, entered the Palace of Heavenly Purity with his companions, and left Zhao Heng outside as grayish-gold mist sealed the gate.
  • At the Western City Gate, Wang Youan prepared to fight approaching attackers while guarding a copper fragment marked with patterns identical to the Heavenly Prison's Prison Suppressor Law imprints.

Ch. 298The Imperial Palace Became a Killing Ground

Fang Mo fought his way through the Palace of Heavenly Purity, where Spiritual Terrace Burial Cosmos's consciousness law had turned the Crown Prince's soldiers and Imperial Guards into mindless victims and puppets. He reached the main chamber and found the Old Emperor fused with the White Bone Dragon Throne.

  • Nian Nu'er told Fang Mo that more than four hundred people were alive in the hall, most kneeling or attacking one another, and that their minds had been erased.
  • Fang Mo used the Spleen Earth Law to knock down the altered soldiers, then ordered Mo Qianshan and Li Mingyue to guard the entrance while he advanced with Old Yan and Iron Bull.
  • Fang Mo and his companions passed soldiers clawing at their own faces and learned that a formation beneath the palace was nearing its limit, leaving Spiritual Terrace Burial Cosmos's split spirit weakest before it fused with the Old Emperor.
  • Fang Mo used Prison Suppressor Patterns and the Gravity Law to pin down more than fifty elite puppets guarding the Inner Corridor.
  • Fang Mo kicked open the Copper Gate and saw the Old Emperor grown together with the White Bone Dragon Throne.

Ch. 299Facing the Old Emperor and the Evil God

Fang Mo confronted the Old Emperor as the being from the coffin fused with him and the White Bone Dragon Throne. After clearing the hall of the others, Fang Mo faced the fully transforming creature and struck first.

  • Fang Mo learned that the coffin being had fused about forty percent with the Old Emperor, then challenged the two voices speaking through him.
  • The Old Emperor activated the hall’s formations and sent bone tentacles after Fang Mo and his companions; Fang Mo ordered Old Yan and Iron Bull to retreat outside.
  • Fang Mo severed a tentacle with the God Slaying Saber and learned the fusion was accelerating as the being drained the Old Emperor’s remaining national fortune.
  • Crown Prince Zhao Heng was dragged into the hall, and Fang Mo rescued him after Zhao Heng offered him the Divine Capital’s Nine Gates; Fang Mo then kicked him toward the side door and ordered him to wait outside.
  • Fang Mo gathered the power of his Five Viscera Divine Treasures into the God Slaying Saber as the transformed being rose from the throne, then Fang Mo slashed at it.

Ch. 300Peak Showdown: Slaying Dragon Qi

Fang Mo fought the Old Emperor’s split spirit in the Palace of Heavenly Purity as it drew power from the Great Qian Dynasty’s national fortune dragon Qi. After using Prison Suppressor and the resonating God King laws to break through its defenses, Fang Mo shattered both of its vertical pupils, leaving its fate in his hands.

  • Fang Mo evaded the split spirit’s bone tentacles and resisted its attempt to control his mind, then used Spleen Earth Law to block its gray-gold light pillar.
  • Nian Nu'er identified the vertical pupils on the spirit’s forehead as its anchor, and Fang Mo attacked them with Ten Thousand Terrors Geng Gold Slash.
  • The split spirit drew on the Great Qian Dynasty’s national fortune dragon Qi, forcing Fang Mo to expand his Prison Suppression Domain and use Bone Listening Sound Swallowing to disrupt the power’s spread.
  • The spirit’s law began collapsing Fang Mo’s consciousness, but nine God King laws resonated through his prison suppressor patterns and let him shatter one vertical pupil.
  • Fang Mo endured the strain, advanced toward the spirit, and shattered its remaining vertical pupil with the God Slaying Saber as dawn broke over the Imperial City.
