The three of them watched from a distance as the "dead man" walked steadily out of the alley and into the crowd. He looked like the most ordinary traveler, and there was nothing suspicious about him.
Edko's eyes lit up. "I may not know anything about the occult, but I never imagined the Spirit Research Society's techniques would be so useful for silencing people and disposing of bodies!"
"I wouldn't know. I'm just an ordinary mathematician, and I'm not even a member of the Spirit Research Society yet. I'm only working with Master Wang Jingyang on a few insignificant little research projects." Arakaki Sadaharu shrugged.
