After Mo Yuan's initiation triggered the Purple Qi Coming East for Thirty Thousand Li phenomenon, Uncle Nine was shaken by the child’s transformed physique and comprehension. He nevertheless continued to guide him, initially challenging Mo Yuan’s proposed revisions to the Basic Qi Refining Manual before recognizing that they aligned with the Heavenly Dao. 1 2

Concerned that Mo Yuan’s exceptional advancement could undermine his foundation, Uncle Nine intensified the boy’s mind-and-body training. He later brought him to investigate Ren Weiyong’s disturbed grave, where the two became embroiled in the Black Fiend Sect’s effort to claim the powerful zombie. 3 4 6
