Riven and I said our goodbyes to everyone in Ionia and prepared to travel with the Black Feather Legion to Noxus. Next, we would visit the Northern Plains Basin, then Demacia, just as we had planned.

Talon came to see us off. Swain left him two messenger ravens to make it easier to keep in touch, and for some reason, Katarina stayed behind too.

Some of the Noxian officers returned through a portal. Riven and I went back aboard a warship because Kled was going to train us on the voyage.

As he put it, "The moment my feet hit the ground, I'll want to throw myself into battle. Maybe I'll have a little patience while we're at sea."

The last time I'd sailed here from Demacia aboard a cruise ship, I'd crossed the Guardian's Sea. Now, on our way back to Noxus, we had to sail west across the Sea of Conquest. Together, the two journeys had taken us almost all the way around Runeterra.

The Sea of Conquest was even wider, and we often encountered towering waves. Fortunately, the mages used magic to protect the ship, and we avoided any mishaps.

Although Kled said he might have patience on board, he really didn't. He often resorted to hands-on instruction halfway through a lesson.

He preferred showing over telling.

I didn't make much progress, since I'd already mastered most of what I could. To improve further, I needed time to reflect and more real combat experience.

Riven, on the other hand, was still an apprentice. She had plenty of room to improve, both in the Wind Riding Technique and in Uniform Strength.

So, for this training, Kled and I mostly taught Riven together, and she was always eager to learn.

We sailed for over a month before reaching shore.
