Encounter with a Fire Dragon

We didn't travel straight from the Ice Plain Basin to Demacia. Instead, we headed west only after leaving the basin, avoiding a repeat of the danger we'd run into last time when we took a shortcut with Darius.

A vast neutral region lay between Demacia and Noxus. We kept to the north, so we didn't encounter any Noxian troops. We were going to find Darius eventually, so there was no need to rush.

As we admired the beautiful scenery along the way, riding horses and roaming the world with swords at our sides, I found myself feeling like a wandering hero.

But the strange things that kept happening reminded me that this wasn't a martial arts world. Like right now, when a dragon circled above my head.

At first, I thought it was a giant eagle, like Valor, but when it came closer, I realized it was far bigger than that.

When we were searching for Kinkou Monastery, Poppy and I had visited a Dragon Hall. The dragon skeleton there had left a deep impression on me.

Poppy said she'd seen plenty of living dragons in the southern jungles. Now, we'd encountered one in the northern wilderness.

I'd heard many people say dragons were extremely rare these days. They'd once hunted humans, but now humans hunted dragons.

Whatever the case, they were rulers of the skies. This one above us breathed fire, tearing across the sky like a rosy glow.

It looked like a fire dragon, and it was furious, though I had no idea why.
