Background
Immortal Path originated when Ye Yu's Divine Domain was transformed into a Mythological Online Game template. Earth users enter through virtual helmets, create characters in Lingxiao Hall, and initially perceive the Divine Domain as an exceptionally realistic game world. Gu Du was among its first players. 4
Ye Yu established the early player base as disciples of Lingxiao Immortal Palace, assigning them the rank of Labor Disciples and using quests, Contribution Points, and cultivation resources to develop them. Unlike ordinary deities, Ye Yu's growth depends on the strength of Immortal Path's players rather than faith alone. 5 8
Although players regard Immortal Path as a game, it is Ye Yu's real Divine Domain. Their souls are bound to Ye Yu upon entering Lingxiao Immortal Palace, enabling their resurrection so long as Ye Yu retains sufficient Divine Power. Skills, physiques, and cultivation achievements gained within Immortal Path can synchronize to Ye Yu, and later become usable by players in reality. 33 177 521
Systems and Mechanics
Cultivation and synchronization
Immortal Path opened its cultivation system by offering the Basic Qi Cultivation Technique and Collapsing Fist through Contribution Points. When Gu Du cultivated both to Great Perfection, Ye Yu automatically received their perfected versions as well. 8 33
- Players earn and spend Contribution Points on cultivation methods, skills, equipment, and other functions. 8 37
- Player achievements can grant Ye Yu synchronized cultivation methods, skills, hidden routes, special physiques, and equipment. 33 39 52 112 218
- The game does not rigidly assign cultivation classes; players can trigger routes through insight, training, meditation, and personal actions. 36
- Hidden routes, physiques, professions, skills, and quests create major differences in player potential. 39 52 80 232
Hidden content
Immortal Path's hidden systems reward highly individual actions and traits rather than standard progression.
- Sleight of Hand Technique — Triggered by Kaitou Kid after stealing from Ma Jiaoteng. Ye Yu's synchronized version can steal from targets up to the Lesser God rank with a 100% success rate. 38 39
- Way of the Sword Immortal — Triggered by Li Taibai's unwavering dedication to swordsmanship; includes the Clear Sword Heart passive. 52
- Myriad Poisons Undying Body — Triggered by King Grey Wolf after consuming poisonous herbs; grants poison immunity and permits growth through consuming potent toxins. 112
- Path of Death — Triggered by Night Owl alongside the Death Robe and Death Scythe. 218
- Candle Dragon Inheritance — The first documented hidden quest, obtained by Xiao Yao Xian through a treasure map; its destination, Zhong Mountain, was initially unavailable. 232 233
NPCs and professions
Following an upgrade, Immortal Path introduced NPCs with independent thoughts, relationships, and social circles rather than treating them as mere data. Some arrived alongside friends and family members. 91
The profession system subsequently introduced specialist NPCs and class-change paths.
- Star Dust — Spiritual Planter; provides planting-related progression.
- Tian Ji Zi — Formation Master.
- Xie Hao and Redemption — Healer-type NPCs; Xie Hao also handles pet taming.
- Tears — Shady merchant.
- Qian Ye Yu — Artifact-refining NPC who sells starter equipment and teaches artifact refining. 58 92
Reality synchronization
Immortal Path's game mechanics increasingly affect Earth.
- Cultivation methods and abilities can synchronize with players' real bodies. 177 521
- Players and officials eventually investigate the game after recognizing its abnormal realism and real-world effects. 229 236

Story Role
Immortal Path functions as Ye Yu's primary means of developing believers and defending his Divine Domain. He regularly turns real conflicts into in-game events, allowing players to fight enemy believer races while believing they are participating in ordinary battlefield content. 82 122
Its escalating realism and the synchronization of in-game power with reality gradually lead elite players—including Gu Du, the War Strategy Bureau, Zu'an leaders, and wealthy players—to question its origin and Ye Yu's role. 186 236
During the Devilish Creature invasion, Immortal Path shifted toward mass leveling, opening its level cap through Saint Realm and inciting enormous competition among players. 538 542
The game later became a setting for Enlightenment and Dao attainment, producing True Immortals, Star Lords, and Saints through highly personal paths such as opera, transformation, death, eternal life, sword cultivation, destiny, and national essence. 549 553 557 559 563 621
