Background / History

Xiao Gui was one of the orphans raised alongside Ye Yu in Arbor God City. Withdrawn and frequently bullied as a child, she remembered Ye Yu as the only one who treated her gently and gave her candy; this became the basis of her lifelong admiration for him. 89 107

Her body originally contained two souls: Xiao Gui herself and her younger brother, who also used the name Xiao Gui. Her brother’s control produced a male form, while her full control feminized the body. To hide this condition, she often allowed him partial control, leaving her outwardly androgynous and fearful that Ye Yu would see her as a monster. 93 107 231
