The tent flap was violently thrown open, and Saint Charlos's personal attendant chief strode out with a grim expression.
He was about fifty, with stern features and a dark purple formal suit embroidered with the Celestial Dragon insignia.
Though he possessed little combat power, he was an old retainer of Saint Charlos's family with a special standing, and he represented Saint Charlos's will most of the time.
His gaze swept over the anxious CP officials outside, the Marine officer representatives stationed in Sabaody, and the island sheriff who had rushed over after hearing the news.
His voice was not loud, yet it carried unquestionable authority:
"Everyone, heed my command."
The scene instantly fell silent, all eyes focusing on him.
"Saint Charlos has just regained consciousness and personally issued an order."
The personal attendant chief delivered the message clearly, word by word:
"Today's matter ends here. All operations to pursue the attacker are to cease immediately.
"The cordoned area is to be lifted, the port reopened, and all Marine and CP personnel are to return to their posts. No one is to disturb Saint Charlos over this matter again, nor are you to escalate the situation and alert the Holy Land."
Dead silence.
Then came an irrepressible stir.
"Personal attendant chief!"
The Marine colonel stationed in Sabaody could not help stepping forward, asking urgently:
"The culprit has not been caught. Lord Kong was severely wounded, and Saint Charlos suffered such humiliation—how can this simply end here?
"How are we supposed to answer to the Five Elders? How are we supposed to uphold the dignity of the World Nobles?"
The personal attendant chief gave him a cold look, as though he were looking at a dead man:
"Saint Charlos's will is the highest answer and the greatest dignity!
"Saint Charlos was excessively
