An endless expanse of yellow sand stretched beneath a blazing sun that scorched the earth.
A Sunagakure squad of over twenty shinobi marched across the searing sand. They were transporting supplies.
At the center of the group, three Sunagakure shinobi each carried a massive scroll on their backs. These were storage scrolls used to hold supplies.
When the group reached a sand dune, the leading Sunagakure shinobi suddenly raised a hand, signaling everyone to stop.
He was a middle-aged man with two knife scars on his face. He warily watched the area around the dune, his hawk-sharp gaze sweeping back and forth.
"Ambush!"
His expression abruptly changed. He raised his hand and threw a Shuriken with an explosive tag attached toward a spot beside the dune.
Almost at the same moment, a Shuriken shot out from the other side of the dune and knocked away the tagged Shuriken.
Boom!
As the explosive tag detonated, the sand around the dune erupted, and several figures leaped out.
"Take out the Sunagakure shinobi!"
A Konoha shinobi wearing sunglasses shouted from atop the dune.
He then sprang forward and charged at the Sunagakure shinobi.
Behind him, the other Konoha shinobi shouted as they leaped out, rushing toward the Sunagakure shinobi with him.
Yet one figure remained standing atop the dune without moving. It was Uchiha Yuan.
Uchiha Yuan stood with his arms folded, watching the Sunagakure shinobi as his brow gradually furrowed.
The Konoha shinobi had already caught up with the Sunagakure shinobi, and the two sides clashed. However, Uchiha Yuan noticed that the Sunagakure shinobi were fighting as they retreated, without falling into disarray.
During the battle, the Sunagakure shinobi retreated into the area between two dunes and were surrounded by the Konoha shinobi.
