Background & History

Class C began the school year with 490 Class Points. Its students were largely held together by Ryuen Kakeru, who used violence to make the class submit to his authority; while feared, he also kept the class from becoming as disorderly as Class D. 20

The class's early conflict with Class D escalated when Ishizaki and two classmates assaulted Yamauchi and Ike. Hirata defeated the three attackers, and the ensuing incident ultimately cost Class C 200 Class Points. 38 50

During the Uninhabited Island Exam, Ryuen approached Kamio Tatsuya—then still in Class D—for cooperation against Class A. Kamio identified Class C's leader, Totsuka Yahiko, after observing the key card at its cave base, creating a major vulnerability in Class C's strategy. 72 76 77

Kamio later agreed to transfer from Class D to Class C in exchange for Ryuen's assistance in crushing Class D. His transfer was completed before the Sports Festival, bringing his planning ability and exceptional athleticism into Class C. 89 129 150

Following Kamio's arrival, the class shifted toward improving its overall academic and physical standards rather than relying solely on underhanded tactics. Ryuen supported study sessions and the class's direct confrontation with stronger opponents. 134 184

During the Class Vote, Class C secured Protection Points for Kamio while carrying out Ryuen's plan to expel the dissident Tokito Yuya. 225

In the subsequent Command Tower special exam, Kamio served as Class C's commander while Ryuen left the class's tactical execution to him. Class C eliminated the other classes, finished with an 8–0 record, and rose from Class C to Class A. 228 240
