In Karya's opinion, people in Runeterra today generally lack understanding of the Void.

The various aspects of the Void have long been quietly buried in the corners of history. Even historians who are accustomed to digging through old texts, trying to uncover everything, do not truly understand what this dangerous power signifies.

Just like present-day Shurima, no one considers the Void a threat.

Even though the fall of the Empire was directly related to the Void, even in Azir's eyes, the Void was never a primary concern.

Undoubtedly, this is arrogance.

Besides arrogance, another reason for this situation is closely related to the Monolith Fortress. The battle record of the Monolith Fortress, built with the Empire's last reserves of power, was too brilliant, leading people to completely fail to realize what a floating fortress made entirely of Pure Element truly meant.

It was the Shuriman Empire's final glory, even to some extent overdrawing the Empire's future.

The result of this lack of understanding is that present-day Shurimans are too lenient towards behaviors that worship the Void, directly leading to the gradual proliferation of Void worship.

Fanatical believers feed the Void with livestock and resources from Runeterra. The only outcome of doing so is the continuous expansion of Void forces. These people, seeking only peace of mind, cannot see the distorted growth of the Void beneath the Earth. It is even possible that it could make a comeback one day.

And now, it seems even Azir does not view the Void as a threat. His plans contain no mention of the Void—this in itself speaks volumes.

"The Void rift has long been sealed." Unfortunately, Azir still couldn't grasp Karya's concerns, his tone full of confusion. "Even if there are foolish individuals who follow in the Void's footsteps, what does that prove?"
