Malphite's Cheat Mode

Zil'Aza clearly had no idea what Malzahar was planning.

He couldn't have guessed that while he collected Void creature specimens along the way, those seemingly "lively" creatures were actually leading him into a dangerous trap.

He also had no idea that Malzahar was hiding behind the Void creatures, watching him quietly and waiting for him to fall into the trap he had so carefully prepared.

As far as Zil'Aza was concerned, he was being very cautious. He was only collecting specimens and recording the habits of Void creatures in the outer reaches of the Rift, so he shouldn't have attracted any particular attention.

And so, completely unaware of his predicament, Zil'Aza soon reached the edge of the trap.

On the morning of the third day of investigating Void creatures, he came across a very unusual one. It didn't look like the common insects he'd seen before; it was more like a plant!

Zil'Aza had never seen anything like it. There weren't even any similar records. Void creatures had never been known to take plant form!

Zil'Aza's research into the Primal Axioms focused on plants, so when he discovered this "plant with chitinous tissue," he immediately grew interested.

Of course, this was a trap Malzahar had carefully prepared for him.

After Zil'Aza chased off the Void creatures nearby and carefully crouched to collect a sample, he realized that the plant looked a little "wilted." Its condition didn't seem very good.

Was plant form unsuitable for the Void?

Or was the environment here simply not right for it?
