The Batcave, Batman Bruce Wayne's secret base, had been built inside a cavern beneath Gotham City. As for what building stood above the Batcave, that was not something outsiders needed to know. After all, this was the secret base of the Wayne family. If everyone knew about it, certain demons would probably have come knocking long ago.

Here, the incredibly wealthy Wayne family had used all sorts of cutting-edge technology to decorate the place. The newly upgraded Batmobile, which had just gone out to pick up a certain White Wizard named Gandalf, was now parked in the passage before the tightly shut Bat-gate. Its body was adorned with what looked like bat wings, and waves of heat were still rising from beneath its hood...

It was obvious that escaping their pursuers and those who had been tailing them, then making it back here safely, had taken quite a bit of effort.
