The moonlight outside Riverwood wasn't very bright. The crescent moon kept appearing and disappearing behind the dark clouds, while insects and birds and beasts that prowled at night let out the occasional eerie cry. Rustling sounds came from all around, adding a dismal, desolate air to the lonely wilderness night.

But Queen Annie wasn't afraid of the dark, no matter how dark it got. She wouldn't even spare a glance for the creatures watching her from near and far in the shadows, or for the suspicious, ill-intentioned animals and people. They couldn't possibly attract much of her attention, especially when she was in such a foul mood.

This was the first time that she, the omnipotent Queen, the great head of state, master of fire, embodiment of shadow, controller of Arcane and technology, owner of the vast universe, lord of all gods, king of all realms, eternal and everlasting being, had been driven out of a tiny town in Skyrim called Riverwood by a bunch of unreasonable peasants just because she'd eaten a chicken?
