The newly established Dawnguard organization had originally planned a symbolic expedition against the vampires, one that was more for show than anything else. But who could have expected that just as they finished packing their gear and arranging the personnel, before they even had the chance to give their final pre-departure pep talk, their plans would be completely thrown into disarray by the spell of their newly recruited little girl, the Chief Archmage? A journey that had been expected to take over a month round trip, perhaps even longer, had turned into a trip of less than half a day?
And so, thanks to the incredibly convenient magic portal that let them arrive in an instant, two more people were added to the original group, which had consisted of Xilang, Duran, and a handful of Dawnguard elites.
Those two were none other than Isran, leader and founder of the Dawnguard, and Annie Crownguard, its Chief Archmage of Light!
At that moment, the dozen or so of them were slowly and cautiously exploring their way forward through the cavernous tomb, illuminated by a certain little girl's "Lumos" spell, in the lingering radiance of a light as bright as day.
