When Annie had spent over half a month wantonly enjoying herself in the "Oasis" game world, wandering through the leisure district of Area 79, eating and drinking on that gourmet planet with the gold coins she had picked up around Castle Anor—which had been dropped by at least millions of players when their data was wiped—and had finally enjoyed enough of the supreme pleasure those players' blood and sweat had brought to her palate, she stuffed all the things and spare change she had collected into the hands of Edge, the scapula warrior who had created a new account and started the miserable process of leveling all over again. Then she left that Earth of 2045 and came to a new world.
After the battle was over and the Easter egg had been successfully obtained, there was nothing left in the world where "Oasis" existed for Annie to worry about.
That was because the evil boss of IOI, the villain named Nolan Sorrento, had already been arrested and taken away by the police on suspicion of multiple murders, illegal weapons possession, unlawful imprisonment, participating in and directing terrorist attacks, and various economic crimes. IOI had subsequently declared bankruptcy and gone out of business in the latest "Oasis" announcement.
By now, the stock of the "Oasis" game operating company had fallen into the hands of that shut-in, Percy, and the five heroes of the Easter egg had begun jointly taking over the entire game: Percy, Artemis, Edge, Aech, and Daito. They had even established the "Oasis" Players' Council, allowing guilds and independent players who had participated in the final battle to appoint and elect players to certain seats in Oasis's management and decision-making, while each holding a certain amount of stock in the Oasis game company!
