The second day of Summer, overcast...
Annie had realized that the so-called "Sea Festival" or "Opening of the Sea Festival," held on the beach at the pier at ten yesterday morning—the first day of Summer—wasn't all that fun. Aside from stuffing herself with free ice cream all day and having a sand fight on the beach, which left Sister Lin and Sister Popuri with sand all through their hair that might take days to wash out, it had been pretty much the same as anything else.

Anyway, Annie figured that if Uncle Zac had let her dog Tibbers enter the race, then her Tibbers would definitely have been the one to win!
Because Annie knew that, with Tibbers' nasty personality, he would surely have bitten all the other dogs until they were hurt—or threatened to kill them—before the race even began. Once he'd scared them so badly they wouldn't dare compete properly, he could then win without a care in the world, right?
That was exactly what would have happened, no doubt about it!

Still, since there hadn't been any particularly appealing prizes in that boring dog-frisbee-catching competition, Annie hadn't minded too much. She'd only felt a little scorn for the old man Mugi's dog, which Tibbers had once scared into running away with its tail between its legs, for winning first place.
Time flew by, though. Today was already the second day of Summer, and the "Sea Festival" and the dog competition were long past. Annie, who had now spent a whole month and two days in this world, wasn't dwelling on those happy times. What she cared about now was what she should plant!
"Hmm..."
(?????)
"What should I do?"
(?~?)
Actually, she'd already bought nearly all the seeds she needed yesterday.
