It was quite a dramatic turn of events. Perona had used her Ghost Fruit powers to release ghosts, but they hadn't managed to scare Annie at all. On the contrary, Annie had used a simple Transfiguration Spell from Hogwarts to turn a chair into a fake Sadako, and Perona had been the one scared out of her wits!
They say...
She'd even wet herself on the spot?
And if she hadn't been able to fly, she might not have come out of that incident unscathed. After screaming, she'd panicked and rushed straight out through the window.
So the next morning, when Perona staggered into the dining room for breakfast and saw Annie, her expression was still sour. She was just short of outright attacking the troublesome little brat.
After a night of tossing and turning, Perona didn't even need to put on black eyeshadow anymore.
Because after a sleepless night, she had natural dark circles around her eyes!
If Annie hadn't lost her nerve later that night and revealed herself to turn the fake Sadako back into a chair with a reversal spell, then laughed at Perona without restraint, Perona might still be circling outside the castle, too scared to come back.
Of course, whether Perona had managed to sleep after returning was none of Annie's concern.
Annie was, after all, a world-government-certified troublemaker. Playing tricks on people was part of her daily routine, and Perona was hardly the first. After all the fuss the previous night, Queen Annie had slept like a baby.
"Hi~!"

"Good morning, Sister Perona!"

When she saw Perona enter the dining room and pause in surprise at the sight of her, Annie generously waved at her with Tibbers's paw.
"Want to come over and have breakfast with me?"
