Standing before the cliff, Brann stared at the countless "stars" in the "sky" of this underground world. He looked toward Nokron on the western cliff, then down at the unfathomable drop beside him. There seemed to be some ruins of the Eternal City of Nokron far below, too. The Werewolf couldn't help feeling torn and hesitant.

There was no doubt about it. The facts were right in front of him: he couldn't reach either the main part of Nokron above or the ruins of Nokron below!

And just as the intelligence had said, the Eternal City of Nokron really did seem to have been damaged by the Greater Will or the Two Fingers. Though many ruined buildings and altars still remained in the area, reaching the largest surviving Nokron ruin up above would be no easy task.

That was because Nokron had been built atop a cliff, while he was at its base, with hundreds or even thousands of meters between them. And he was a werewolf, not a monkey, gorilla, or mountain goat. Climbing was simply not his strong suit.

After hesitating for a long time, the gloomy Werewolf finally couldn't hold back. He lifted his head and instinctively howled at the starry sky.

That was the situation. He wanted to leave, but couldn't bring himself to give up. He wanted to keep looking for a way, but he'd already spent almost a whole day and night searching. He'd tried every elevator and portal he could find, but none of them could take him up. It was putting him in a real bind.
