Starfell Valley was one of Mondstadt's four regions, northeast of Mondstadt City and Cider Lake. It was made up of several smaller areas, including Cape Oath, Windwail Highland, Whispering Woods, Starfell Lake, Starsnatch Cliff, and the Thousand Winds Temple ruins.
After following the beach westward from Cape Oath in search of her brother, the girl named Lumine and Paimon had finally arrived at the shore of Starfell Lake. From there, they could clearly see the towering statue standing in the middle of the island at the lake's center.
"Look!"
"That's a Statue of The Seven!"
"What do you think, Lumine? Isn't it even more magnificent up close?"
"These statues guard all corners of Mondstadt. They say they're modeled after the Anemo Archon—that they were carved to look just like the God of Wind!"
"Mondstadt is the nation of wind!"
"There's a saying here: 'The wind brings the seeds, time makes them sprout, and the statues quietly await those who are noble. The thousand winds of time will welcome a new story...'"
"Paimon doesn't know what that means, though..."
Flying in front of Lumine, Paimon bobbed along above the lake, excitedly giving her a detailed explanation.
"Hey?"
"You..."
"Lumine!"
"Are you even listening to Paimon?!"
But when Paimon turned around, she saw Lumine looking all around as if she hadn't heard a word. Angrily, she flew up to her and demanded an explanation.
"Huh?"
"Well..."
"Sorry!"
"Paimon, I was actually wondering where Annie is."
"Why isn't she following us?"
In truth, Lumine hadn't been paying attention. After all, it was just a statue. She and her brother had once been powerful enough to travel between worlds, and she considered herself no weaker than the so-called gods of The Seven. So she wasn't about to take legends about the God of Wind
