The weather was lovely, with bright sunshine and not a cloud in the sky.
When Annie got up, Lumine and Paimon had already run off somewhere. They'd simply asked the young woman at the inn to leave Annie a message, saying they'd met up with Amber and the others and gone out of the city to carry out a mission.
Annie knew what those people had gone to do, of course, so she didn't pay it any mind. After casually eating a little at the inn, she headed out to wander around.
Just as she was strolling outside Mondstadt's gates, she happened to spot a flock of wild pigeons on the bridge, pecking at some grains someone had scattered. Even more surprisingly, every last one of them looked plump and well-fed.
And then...
"Aha!"

"Got you!"

Quick as a flash, she appeared right in the middle of the pigeons. Before they could react, she reached out and caught the two biggest ones.
"Fantastic!"

"So plump!"

"I've decided! I'll take you two back tonight and have big sister Sarah make Sweet Madame for me!"

Looking at the fat pigeons in her hands and thinking of all the Sweet Flowers she had, Annie quickly came up with a brilliant solution to her dinner problem.
Of course, that would only take care of one main dish. As for the other sides and dessert, she'd still have to ask Sarah from the Good Hunter for help.
"Stop!"
"Don't go!"
"Stop right there!"
"What are you looking at? I'm talking to you!"
But before Annie had gotten far, a little brat suddenly ran out of the grass beside the bridge. Waving a battered wooden stick, he looked ready to hit her.
