At the highest point in Mondstadt, beside the plaza in front of the cathedral.
A strange fellow with short black hair, little green braids fading in color hanging down on either side of his head, and dressed in a green Baroque-style outfit, a green cloak, and a matching green felt hat—with a white flower bearing two long green leaves pinned to its brim—was staring blankly at the enormous, damaged statue of Barbatos, the Anemo Archon, and the workers repairing it.
After watching for a while, he folded his arms, rested his chin on one hand, and bowed his head in thought, muttering something under his breath.
As luck would have it...
His words were overheard by a troublesome little girl who was strolling back from outside the city.

At first, Annie hadn't paid the green-clad fellow much mind. She hadn't given him a second thought, treating him as just another passerby.
But after accidentally hearing what he said, there was no way she could pretend she hadn't heard it.

So, without thinking twice, she quickly turned around, trotted back, and poked her head out to take a closer look at him.

She'd suddenly realized that she'd seen this fellow's face somewhere before.
But where? She couldn't remember. Still, Annie was sure she had seen him before.

"The little girl who defeated Dvalin!"
To Annie's slight surprise, when he saw her step closer, the green-clad oddball cried out in recognition and immediately identified her.
"Dvalin?"
