Izayoi Sakamaki, Asuka Kudou, and You Kasukabe were wandering around and taking in the sights of an unfamiliar city in the Seventh Outer Gate of the Eastern District. Their eyes were filled with the wonder of seeing something new and unusual.
They had clearly never been to this city before. The Little Garden was enormous, after all. Even just the Seventh Outer Gate—the seven-digit-numbered Eastern District—had at least six figures' worth of cities: a hundred thousand, or even several hundred thousand. That was dozens of times more than the mere ten thousand or so cities on Earth, their former home!
With so many cities around, the three of them had visited only a handful so far. It was obviously impossible to get to know the entire Little Garden.
And that was one of the reasons they had decided to go sightseeing today.
Of course, they also meant to avoid that pointless hard labor. Izayoi had always been a loafer, while Asuka was the heiress to a financial conglomerate. Neither of them was keen on being sent out to do farmwork.
You hadn't said much, but after getting injured and then contracting the "Black Death" over the past month, working under the blazing sun was definitely not what she wanted, either. So she had come along without much resistance or guilt.

"It's just as I remembered. It's so big it's hard to believe!"
With his hands in his pockets, Izayoi strolled along with the two girls, still wearing his usual careless expression. He took in this prosperous place, which seemed every bit as impressive as the city where their community was based, and couldn't help sighing in amazement.
