A few days into the game, the fifth event—the "Three Races Tournament"—came to an end amid chaotic fighting. The Terrans had launched a fusion-bomb barrage on the Zerg's main base, successfully crushing the enemy's second main force as it tried to attack the base through the Ravener tunnels.
Without a doubt, Kuro Usagi had guessed right!
The afternoon after the competition ended and the Little Garden Core teleported everyone back to their community castle, she saw the uninvited Shiroyasha—and, sure enough, the look on her face was awful.
Her side had lost. In other words, her community, the large commercial alliance known as Thousand Eyes, had been eliminated in the fifth event in the most frustrating way possible.
So it was no wonder Shiroyasha looked so glum right now!
However, things hadn't gone the way Kuro Usagi had imagined. Shiroyasha hadn't been on the Protoss side, which had been miserably defeated by the united Terrans and Zerg. She'd been with the Zerg?
According to Shiroyasha, all she'd seen were intercontinental missiles trailing flames as they rained down on the Zerg base, striking the vast valley where their nest was located. There had been so many that the Zerg couldn't disrupt or intercept them?
Then, in her despair, she'd seen nothing but one terrifying mushroom cloud after another rise into the sky, unleashing successive shock waves and waves of high-temperature, high-radiation flames. Before she could even think, she and the Zerg base, along with the Zerg Overmind Kerrigan, had all been wiped out.
After that, they'd been sent back to the Little Garden world by the Little Garden Core. They'd soon received word that the Zerg had been defeated and the Terrans had won the whole competition.
That was why her face was so dark now. It had grown even worse
