Shirke didn't know how powerful that final punch from Sir One-Punch Man in Yellow had been. She hadn't been able to see it clearly, and she didn't dare guess or speculate.
After all, she had been held captive by those terrifying "Apostles"—the five fearsome "God Hands." The only thing she could move was her eyes. She saw the pitiful Charlotte cut to pieces by Femto, left with nothing but a head whose eyes still stared open in death. Then the witch Slan made her outrageous move and goaded him as much as she could. Enraged, Sir One-Punch Man in Yellow roared, split into five figures, and appeared before each member of the God Hand. He threw a punch, and an endless light instantly swallowed her.
In that moment, Shirke had nearly been certain that she would be caught in the shockwave of that terrifying attack—and that she would die without a doubt.
But who could have expected...
When the blinding light gradually faded, she found herself back in the palace garden of Falconia, a city left utterly ravaged.
"Phew!"
"Is it all over?"
Looking up at the moon and the stars that had reappeared in the sky, at the darkness of the distant wilderness, and at the World Tree—which should have illuminated the land—now utterly gone, Shirke saw night descend once more. The five formerly invincible members of the God Hand had also crumbled and vanished under Sir One-Punch Man's seemingly ordinary but earth-shattering punch. Back in the garden, now littered with debris, she let out a relieved breath and a heartfelt sigh. Then she looked toward the yellow-and-white figure standing quietly nearby.
"Right?"
"Sir One-Punch Man?"
Shirke gazed at the silent, bald man with excitement, admiration, and longing.
She didn't know how he had won, but that didn't matter.
