They learned that the Army of the Light had wiped out all five members of the God Hand, Femto included. And they learned that Queen Charlotte had also died at Femto's hands—that Femto was the one who had disguised himself as the Falcon of Light, Griffith. The survivors, already demoralized and lacking any will to fight, instantly fell apart.

Some of them probably couldn't accept the truth and simply fled. The rest had no choice but to lay down
