Two days later, Edgin, Simon, Holga, and Doric finally returned to Neverwinter, looking travel-worn after heading to Icewind Dale to interrogate Fudge and seek out vital information.

"You found the Lost Mine, then burned the dracolich Claugiyliamatar?"

"And you even saw the Morninglord himself descend and destroy Sammaster, the founder of the Cult of the Dragon?!"
Later, as they chatted over food and drinks, Edgin and the others happened to hear about Annie's deeds in Phandalin and her various bizarre "chance encounters." Naturally, they all cried out in shock, their faces full of disbelief.

"We were worrying about it the whole way back, but..."
"But you just went and dealt with the Cult of the Dragon?"
Edgin still found it hard to believe.
They had traveled all the way to Icewind Dale and back, spending a full half month on the round trip just to scrape together important information suggesting that the Thayans might have some connection to the Cult of the Dragon entrenched in Leilon. And yet some troublesome Queen of Neverwinter had suddenly taken out both the cult's founder and the most important dracolich within Neverwinter's territory?
If they'd known she was so powerful, so blessed with good fortune—that she could go out for fun and solve a monumental problem like that—would they really have needed to travel thousands of miles to Icewind Dale Prison, freeze their tails off at the "End of the Line," and match wits with that sly fellow Fudge?
