Ash, Misty, and Tracey had been swept up in a whirlpool and, by a twist of fate, ended up safely on the mysterious island called Pinkan Island. They soon met Officer Jenny, a capable and courageous ranger who was sharp as a tack. Thanks to her explanations, they learned quite a bit about Pinkan Island and its rare pink Pokémon.
Of course, the whole thing came with its share of trouble—and that ever-persistent Team Rocket was sure to make a mess of things!
Luckily, just like always, it hadn't taken much effort to drive off Team Rocket, who had tried to poach the pink Pokémon. Escorted by Officer Jenny's speedboat, they safely left the dangerous waters surrounding the island and then departed Pinkan Island aboard Lapras.
